Beach living has its perks. Because Syka's weather is relatively mild and unoffensive, especially on the beach, the settlement is able to put up what they consider 'temporary' housing for visitors and those that are just too lazy to walk home to their prospective bungalows and camps during the heat of the day. These clusters of shelter and seating is located on Swing Beach in close proximity to the Settlement's Core.

Perfectly suitable, hammocks strung about beneath the shade of the palm trees and more sturdy 'beds' roofed with thatch to keep off the periodic rain showers do wonders. Most of these 'guest quarters' are in close proximity to the community kitchen, forge, and The Syka Commons. All these places are relatively 'safe' from the jungle and are patrolled by the Rangers that inhabit and keep Syka safe.

There are cushions and blankets in a huge watertight chest beneath the base of the Commons that people can borrow. They are expected to launder or clean off before they are returned. Visitors are welcome to use the Community Kitchen or any one of the fire pits strewn about.

The "Guest Quarters" have no cost associated with them, though the people using these structures need to keep them clean and participate in the upkeep of the community core. They may be drafted for garbage duty, kitchen cleanup, or even to help peel potatoes for a community meal.
