Fishing is a way of life in Syka. Abundance from the sea is one of the main forms of food for the Settlement. One thing the Founders have done for the community - namely Randal - was to build a fish cleaning station to give the people fishing and then cleaning the fish a nice place to do so. Knives are available at the station as well as fresh potable water on tap to rinse the fish and keep the station clean. There are buckets (to dispose of offal and bones in) which people can walk right back to the ocean and dump then rinse.

A nice counter is provided which is of a great height so people don't have to bend over when cleaning a large amount. This station also acts as a game cleaning station too because it has racks built off one side where large meaty animals can be suspended to carve up into more workable bundles. Since everything spoils in the heat, it is important when big kills are made that excess meat that can't be eaten immediately by the hunters be quickly distributed so that it doesn't go bad.
