Ashara is one of the “older” Lieutenants of the Daggerhands, known as a Big Sister. Joining the gang at a younger age, when the gang was still relatively new, she managed to impress her superiors with her fierceness and cunning. Receiving her promotion before the fall of Dalagnar, Ashara made herself known for her ability to discover important information. There had been speculation from her peers, as well as her superiors, that she had foreknowledge on the attack that claimed Dalagnar’s life. No one was ever able to confirm that, though many died trying.
Despite the reservations from key members of the gang, Ashara has managed to prove herself invaluable. While not in charge of any particular function she’s the one they rely on when certain questions need answers. Often Ashara can be seen roaming the streets with a few lackeys. Though, if it can be avoided, she stays away from the coastline.
What her peers, and perhaps even her superiors, don’t realize is that Ashara has the means to undermine the entire gang. No one is ever sure if her actions are for the Daggerhands or for herself. Ashara is invested in many clandestine functions of the city. She is a woman that constantly tells less than what she knows. The people that cross her path often regret doing so. As an expert of the dagger and brawling she often will perform necessary wet-work herself, rather than leave it to an underling, depending on the importance of the individual.
Those under her command behave out of fear rather than loyalty. Behind her back they call her the Viper, for when she gets her teeth into a person they die a slow and painful death. Yet she usually speaks with charm and allure. Treating everyone as a friend, until they need to be notified of her displeasure. Some of the brothers and sisters think she came from Bragga’s House from the way she moves with such allure. Among the ranks her sexual exploits are well known, as well as the fact that all former lovers are dead.
Relationship :
The Viper has managed to sink her teeth into Kynier's life. When he drew her attention, the spymaster secretly assigned a few Daggerhand and affiliates to follow and observe Kynier. When it was discovered he relocated to the Midnight Gem and has a personal relationship with the shop's owner, the Viper did what she does best.
Infrequently, she leaves a task for Kynier to complete. Failure will have reprocussions against those that Kynier cares about. What Ashara's intentions are remain unknown to Kynier. He simply knows that he's being used to perform tasks that the rest of the gang leadership may not approve of. Kynier is biding his time to for the right moment to turn the tables on the spymaster.
Kynier is aware that Ashara knows that he is a mage. The Viper has elected to tell no one, not even the Daggerhand Boss, Stiletto, despite the ramifications that could have on her. This causes him to be paranoid during their interactions, for he wonders when it is that she'll no longer consider him useful and spread his secret around. Now, he's trying to establish more of a partnership in hopes of avoiding such a fate.
Ashara leave a task at a dead-drop. Kynier was to destroy the Pulp harvested by the Night Eye's plantation. The fire got out of control and burned down the entire plantation and crop fields.
During a job for his employer, Kynier runs into Ashara at Ruby's Scarlet Sanctum. They have several exchanges and Kynier tries to change their dynamic.

Since he was a young boy, Kynier had felt drawn to the goddess of shadows and secrets. For a long time, he had misunderstood the nature of Akajia. Kynier more recently believes that he has a better grasp of how his relationship with the goddess works. Less about faithful devotion, and more about faithful service. Now, he focuses less on attempting to fulfill her desires and more on discovering secrets for the pleasure of discovering them.
Kynier once prayed to the goddess after receiving his gnosis, and she appeared to him. She gave him an invitation of knowledge, one the goddess expressed that he squandered. For he asked to know a secret few ever knew. He received a phrase and a moment's understanding when she filled him with divine power. Once she left, all he could remember were two words. Eyris, The Wise One
Kynier's discovery of Eyris was recent and accidental. In Sunberth, he was swept into a mob that was hunting a mage and attempted to aid the mage that he never met before. Aedrin was a follower of Eyris and had her first mark. Kynier's attempts to save the mage failed catastrophically. But Aedrin left behind a journal that spoke of The Wise One. Kynier read through it and seeks to improve his wisdom and understanding of things. Rarely does he pray for the acclamation of knowledge from Eyris, but more frequently, for the wisdom to do what is right regardless of how hard it must be.

Leth, God of the Moon
Change is difficult to accept at times, even though it is thrust upon people. Kynier desires to make drastic changes to the world, and has recently come to understand that it will require him to make personal changes he may not accept. This was a lesson provided by Leth when Kynier discovered one of the Deity's star-rocks that fell from the sky. Kynier had grown protrusions from his brow and has kept the horns and the starfire insturment Leth gifted to him as a reminder. When Kynier prays to left, it is so that he can think on things with a clear mind so that he can reflect without emotion.

Second Mark of Telepathy?
Qalaya, The Inscriptrix
Kynier's awareness of Qalaya had been very limited, until he discovered a book written by one of Leth's priests about critical thinking. In it, it mentioned a goddess by the name of Qalaya, though it offered very littile information. Kynier became curious about the goddess and sought to learn more about her. Discovering her to be a key figure in mortal history, because she gifted mortals with a means of being able to preserve it. When Kynier discovered writings of a long-forgotten way of thinking, he began to seek a way of finding more of it to preserve it.
First Mark of Graphomancy progress.
