18th of Summer 518
How did it happen that just a day later, Raeyn had once more found himself in the same place without fully intending to do so? Barely two rests have passed since the last time Raeyn stepped though the doors of the Shinya Pavilions albeit this time he was looking for nobody. Or at least that's what he had told himself.
Truthfully with the season's biggest hunt just a day away, Raeyn had been looking for something to do with himself and polishing his skills seemed like the right thing to do. He had grown so sick and tiered of being cooped up in his home, staying away from society like some early ageing hermit. Yet, perhaps Raeyn wasn't the most social creature but he was also easily bored. And there was little to do in a house that had neither the facilities to practice his aim nor a set up Alchemy lab where he could experiment his whims. An ambitious mind needed a constant source of entertainment to keep it's cogs turning and indeed Raeyn did consider himself very intelligent.
"Are you lost?" a voice asked and a hand rested on the Inarta's shoulder, startling him somewhat.
Turning around, Raeyn saw two Shinya acolytes, both seemingly in rather good spirits, with bows strapped across their backs and in full robe gear. it must have been their day off if they were hanging around the Pavilions dressed in such a manner instead on patrol or manning Lhavit's many great walls and bridges.
"No. Not quite?" Raeyn responded politely albeit quite mysteriously. He didn't really know how to put his presence there into words for he didn't really know why he was there in the first place.
"Are you new then? A new recruit?" one of the Shinya asked although it was unlikely he believed Raeyn to be one. He didn't look like no Shinya anyone's ever met.
"No."
"What then?"
"A hunter."
"A hunter?" They seemed surprised and as to why, Raeyn couldn't really tell. But before he had any time to reply to the oddly obvious question, the two men smiles at each other. "What a coincidence. Well, you see, me and Samuel here have decided on a little archery competition. Perhaps, mr hunter, you'd have time to judge it for us as I'd assume it would be your area of expertise."
Raeyn looked between the two; Samuel and the other who had introduced himself as Kane. They were clearly new to the city's sacred guard themselves. Two bright eyed youths with big dreams and much valour. "Of course." he smiled. "Perhaps I'll join my self. It would be a pleasure to beat two Shinya in a little friendly competition."
