Liam's Image:
Liam has three different forms that he manifests when he chooses to show himself. Usually he does so in the body of his youth, appearing as a young man in mail armor, a shield on his back and a longsword at his side. He has long dark brow hair and a handsome face, well built with the body of a warrior. Liam may also appear in the image of a farmer, in simple linens, dirty and unshaven. Liam's third and most rare image is that of his death, clad in dark leather armor and a black hooded cloak. A shortsword at his side, and a gaping wound in his chest, blood pouring down the front of his armor.
Character Concept:
Driven by rage and a desire for vengeance, Liam is but a pale shadow of the man he once was. Sometimes he is coherent and understandable, while at other times he seems wild and out of control. The one thing that keeps him going, however, is the desire to see an end to Rhysol and the Black Sun. Oddly enough, Liam fits the bill of one of Rhysol's followers perfectly. He is chaotic, often times taking routes that one might consider evil. His actions spread fear and chaos, though he views them as a necessary means to an end. At other times, Liam is more calm and can think things through, but the damage to his psyche that came with his death makes him unpredictable at best.
Character History:
Everything that happened in Liam's life, from the day he was born, can be traced back to the Black Sun's influence. Starting with his parent's death when he was an infant, to his own eventual death, it has all been at the hands of the Black Sun. Liam's father was a knight of Syliras, who made a particularly powerful enemy of one of the Acolytes of the Black Sun. Liam's mother died shortly after giving birth to him, a result of that Acolytes work. His father, while taking Liam to Syliras, was also slain by bandits hired by the Black Sun.
Liam survived unnoticed by the bandits and was rescued by a hermit, who took him to the Temple of All Gods. Liam was taken in by a priestess of Rak'Keli, who he came to know as his mother. But eventually his uncle found him and claimed him as his own. He was raised to be a knight, but before that could happen his uncle was framed by the Black Sun for looking into the death of Liam's father. Liam's uncle was imprisoned, and Liam lost everything. Forsaking the knights Liam eventually married and became a father.
On her way to visit one day Liam's mother was killed by bandits, also hired by the black sun. Later, his wife and child are also killed, this time by a mage. Liam swears revenge on the mage, learning magic himself to combat the villain, and eventually finds his vengeance, but is left with no reason to live. Eventually he is picked up by slavers and taken to the pits in Ravok, where he is forced to fight for his life. After a while he is given an offer of freedom by the Black Sun, promising to make his life worth living again. Liam accepts and works for the Black Sun for a while, having no knowledge of all they had done to him.
Eventually Liam meets a new girl, a whore at the house of Immortal Pleasures, and falls in love. However, he keeps it a secret from the Black Sun for fear that they might oppose the relationship. After a while the woman overhears from an agent that the Black Sun is actually the cause of all that has gone wrong in Liam's life. After telling him, Liam vows revenge and hunts down the agent responsible. He is killed in the process, but his spirit lives on seeking revenge.
