Sent and why don't you post the questions here and let others answer them? If the teacher wants more proof then you have them that and I would love to see other peoples answers myself.

1.) How long have you been Forum RPing?

Lets see...I started off in 2003 doing a D&d dragonball z forum with live chat battles. That got me into the forum roleplay due to we had to write out actions and training threads however that winter it died out due to the admin could not handle it anymore.

Then I left the area of anything roleplay in terms of forums, in 2005 I found games of Muds (Multi-User Dungeon text game) that I played for a good awhile however in 2006 I came back along text forum roleplaying where I made two friends I have known since.

2.) What first drew you to this type of writing?

Freedom. In games that are made to be sandbox, aka no open ended goal, you have "freedom" however that freedom is just limited to whatever the game makers wanted you to have. However in forum roleplay the freedom is up to you. You can be a old man who is super smart only wanting to fish or cook or a mastermind that is bent on tricking people.

3.) How old were you when you first started to RP on a Forum?

When I first started I was 16 however when I came back and really sticked with it I was 18. I am now 23 (almost 24) and still writing on a forum roleplay and I can say I enjoy every second of it and will be doing it for years to come.

4.) Can you remember your first time RPing on a Forum?

Yeah, I will go with 2006. Was new to the site, started on a island called Demios. Was looking for a job to earn some type of income for myself, who was called Saka Rosedl and the player was Viskyia Crow.

I wrote at most 4 little badly made lines. Walk in, look, talk. She on the other hand made 4 large paragraphs that gave so much depth it was like art work. I remember it so clearly as I saw just how much I sucked at writing however it also showed me how much I could get better.

5.) What was the name of the Forum, and what type of character did you play?
It was called Aelyia and the character was Saka Rosedl

6.) If you have any threads saved from a former Forum, do you notice that your writing skills have improved?

I wrote maybe 50 words per post then. I write 2,000 words per post now. Yes my writing skills have improved both in length and detail to english skills.

7.) What's changed the most, since you first started?

The most? Spelling, grammar, lack of run-on sentences have been far better (and even better then what High school really did teach) and I can make more emotion in writing then I could before where it use to be flat and lifeless.

8.) What's changed the least?

Really? Nothing. Everything in terms of writing and emotion has been worked on. I even had a problem with biting to much off and could not do all what I had thought of yet even that I have worked on all in the name to get better and make people proud. The two people I want make proud are admins on Mizahar which I write to now however I doubt they know I look up to them.

9.) Do you ever regret becoming a Forum RPer?

The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. I wish I did it much much sooner say in Middle school as it could not only help so much but it is so much fun.

1.) How long have you been Forum RPing?
I first tried it about several years back. I was part of a small, RP-centric guild back then in an old MMO and the guildmaster decided to create a form-based website where we could do our RP in pbp forum style. I can't believe the site is still up though no one visits it any more. Kammy would know about this, that's where I met her.

2.) What first drew you to this type of writing?
I've always enjoyed writing, I just did not have a specific world to write about. I've tried writing by myself, but you know how that goes. You get inspired to write one minute but lose interest the next either because you can't motivate to write any more or you get new ideas for other things you want to write about that you drop and forget what you're currently writing. At least, that's how things were for me before I got into forum RPing.

3.) How old were you when you first started to RP on a Forum?
Let's say mid-20s.

4.) Can you remember your first time RPing on a Forum?
Oh yeah. I was nervous as hell. At the time I felt that my RPmates were much more experienced at it that I was and I was worried my writing and my mistakes might be judged and they might think I was some loser newbie. Well, they didn't and writing got much easier after that first step (post) in Forum RPing.

5.) What was the name of the Forum, and what type of character did you play?
It was a forum specifically for our guild, the Exemplar. It had a futuristic setting and had elves and mecha. I played a mage-type elf woman, and after that a psychopath half-woman, half-machine semi-villain.

6.) If you have any threads saved from a former Forum, do you notice that your writing skills have improved?
Yes. I think I'm able to do a wider range of character archetypes now, set different tones for the atmosphere and portray different emotions, and easily find the voices of the characters I've created. Grammar has definitely improved and I've found myself looking up unfamiliar words to try and use in my posts.

7.) What's changed the most, since you first started?
My writing style, for one thing. I started out focusing mostly on my character, too much internalization, which kind of limits the interaction you have with your RP mates, which is kind of the point of playing with others. Not much RPing is going around if the main part of the story is just happening in your character's head, right? Continued writing allowed me to grow out of that and I think by doing so, by including the other players into your scene, it enriched the experience of everyone. My focus has also improved in my opinion. Not focus as in concentration, but rather keeping things in the direction of the story, steering it that way. You know how sometimes you get this flood of ideas in your head and you just want to write them all at once that the story, the main reason why you're writing on a particular post or thread, suddenly takes a backseat? By continuing to write, I've learned to keep the story going and at the same time squeeze in those details or tidbits I want written in the same post/thread. I've also learn when to and when not to put in those details. Timing, that's what it is.

8.) What's changed the least?
I still enjoy playing women characters more than male characters. I don't know...I think they have a wider range of emotions to play with. i have this worry that my males characters all become the same person after a while of writing them. I've always made my male character into this stoic, Clint Eastwood type no matter if I intend them to be that way or not. Except this one dwarf...well, that's another story.

9.) Do you ever regret becoming a Forum RPer?
Definitely not. I think I would continue to write even if the current forum I played in closed down.
Apologies to everyone I'm threading with, but it's like the Danaides for me right now.

1.) How long have you been Forum RPing?
I started back around 2006 or so.

2.) What first drew you to this type of writing?
I really began writing for forum roleplays when it became harder to get a whole group of people together for face to face table top games. It seemed the best solution, as I wanted to have a gaming component in my life, but my schedule was getting too busy. At the time, my focus was more on gaming, but I always enjoyed making character sheets and histories, so I thought I would give writing a try. And with the forum RP, I could write during my crazy, odd hours of free time.

3.) How old were you when you first started to RP on a Forum?
I guess it was about five years ago, though it seems much longer to look back upon it.

4.) Can you remember your first time RPing on a Forum?
Oh yes! I was terribly nervous and had no idea what I was doing, or how to interact with the other writers. It was difficult at first to find someone to write with. But then someone agreed to let my character be his mortal enemy. From that first story, many other stories developed and a whole life grew from that small interaction. And still I think about those stories for that character that never got written, and I wish that they had.

5.) What was the name of the Forum, and what type of character did you play?
It was a Roman Historical Roleplay, called Empire of Ashes (based on the book). And it was both funny and intimidating since I knew absolutely nothing about the history of that time. More than a few of their members were hardcore history buffs! So, I took the easier route (for me) and settled on playing Ylva, the headstrong daughter of a barbarian chieftain in what would later become Germany. She had many, many adventures, and enemies, and loves of her own.

6.) If you have any threads saved from a former Forum, do you notice that your writing skills have improved?
Without a doubt! It was difficult to break the trend of starting every sentence with “she” or “the”. And I admit I never learned grammatical rules while I was in school. I just never understood them. But somehow after doing lots, and lots of writing, some of those rules have become ingrained without me even being aware of it. And my writing improved greatly because of it. Still, I am not perfect, and officially I still don’t really know the rules, though I have a better ear for what sounds right.

7.) What's changed the most, since you first started?
My grammar and my confidence. At first it was difficult and taxing for me to get a good and interesting sentence down on paper. I had to really work at it, and really wrestle with it. Writing is not something that comes to me naturally like some really fortunate folks here at this site. I tend to agonize over each word and each comma, and while I still do it, it is not to the same extent. (Okay it really is.) But I feel more confident about the words I am putting down and the longer I do this, it is easier to let the words and ideas flow.

8.) What's changed the least?
Two things, the first is my bad spelling! Thank god for spell check, which I use for most of my mistakes. Though, I also I tend to proof read my writing about 50 times before I submit it to make sure I’ve made all the necessary corrections.

The second thing that’s unchanged is the type of character I like to play. I tend to like incredibly lively characters, or incredibly obnoxious characters, but all in all the characters have a lot of emotion to them, and a lot of life (even if it’s a negative kind of life). And they feel, and they hope and they toil to experience the world around them.

9.) Do you ever regret becoming a Forum RPer?
It has been a wonderful journey and I am thankful for it. Though at times, I wish I was not so immersed within it, as it tends to take time from other things I would like to be doing. But I am always thinking of the next story and the next encounter for my character. And sometimes, I take on too much for the sake of bringing these ideas into play. My goal is to find balance within the forum and outside of the forum roleplay.

1.) How long have you been Forum RPing?
Since I had my first computer. Mid-90's or so.

2.) What first drew you to this type of writing?
Reading. A lot of reading. Oldest brother showed me my first RP forum. Haven't left them since.

3.) How old were you when you first started to RP on a Forum?
Maybe 10 or so.

4.) Can you remember your first time RPing on a Forum?
Yeah. It was horrible. I was 10, and even though I read a lot, I wasn't much of a writer.

5.) What was the name of the Forum, and what type of character did you play?
Guild of the Eastern Wind. I played one of the good guys, a Guild Member, who liked to flirt with the ladies. I guess, now that I look at it, he was a lot like Jaeden. His companion, a Guild Spirit by the name of Caine, was my first inspiration for Asim, actually.

6.) If you have any threads saved from a former Forum, do you notice that your writing skills have improved?
Oh, hell yes. Like I said, I was 10 or something. And, with all the time spent on forums, and in class, my skills have improved a lot.

7.) What's changed the most, since you first started?
My sentence structure. It's improved. So has my spelling. Of course, I still make mistakes. No body's perfect.

8.) What's changed the least?
Probably the type of character I play. Of course, I've branched out a bit, so now, instead of shoving all kinds of character flaws into one PC, I have all kinds of PCs that have character flaws. Like Asim. 10 years ago, he would have been an angry, cruel, hateful Bear, with a soft-spot for kids, women, and injured animals, but who secretly wants everyone to like him. Now, he's just a mean bear who hates everyone, 'cept his Bondmate.

9.) Do you ever regret becoming a Forum RPer?
Every once in a while. But then I think of you guys, and wonder, What would they do without me?
