An eccentric and strange women, Yvonne grew up fascinated by the Symenestra, and has spent her whole life studying them and striving to emulate their culture and fashion to the best of her ability. Her admiration of the usually despised race has raised more than a few eyebrows, but Yvonne pays it no mind.
Yvonne Cylise is the widow of the late Donnathon Cylise, who was a well-known and wealthy trader hailing from Syliras. Young, poised and amicable, Yvonne was wedded in an arranged marriage, and cared very little for her husband in life. The recent passing of Donnathon left her the benefactor of his fortune. Some believe the death of Donnathon suspect, but Yvonne has long proved a lack of involvement with a more than convincing alibi. Now, she dwells within Lhavit, her eyes open to flights of fancy.
She shows very careful control of her reactions to others, her head raised high and her tone filled with a haughtiness brought about by years of an extravagant lifestyle. However, she is gracious and not at all unkind, full lips easily forming into a wide smile as she invites the strange or fascinating into her life.
Chorum Montz

Birthplace: Lhavit

Chorum is an older man who wanders the streets of Lhavit offering his paintings for sale. He sometimes sets up in the Surya Plaza to do sketches, paintings, and caricatures for people as well. Quiet but kind, he has a gruff voice and a beaming smile, and loves to spread cheer with his art. He loves to see budding artists as well, and never hesitates to offer advice where he can when he sees a fellow artist, especially one who is young or struggling.
Chorum started out selling his own paintings for a living, then eventually began work at Tain's Studio, where he happily spent all of his time making art either for his job or for himself. His work there allowed him to live a life of slight luxury, using his money to spend on pricey food and women. In the spring of 506 AV, however, he met the woman of his dreams. He wanted to declare himself to her, and for that, he felt he needed to impress her. After selling most of what he owned, he bought a very expensive ring and managed to convince her to meet with himl however, when that day came, Chorum found her with another man. Betrayed and heartbroken, he fell into a depression.
He left his job and almost quit art altogether; what little art he did create was nothing like the usual beautiful and joyful painting he made, but rather was dark, angry, and terribly sad. Chorum spent what little money he earned on just enough food to get by, and the rest on alcohol. For two years he did this, until he met a young girl named Clara, who helped him get through the darkness in his heart.
They became very good friends very quickly; Clara helped him remember what happiness felt like, and Chorum taught Clara how to draw. Now, Chorum has returned to his art with a passion, and works happily as a street artist; while the occasional dark piece will slip through for him to express the sadness that still lingers, his work is largely back to the expressive and lovely pieces he used to make.
Kyra Shallon
Name: Kyra Shallon
Race: Mixed blood (Myrian/Human)
Birthdate: 449 AV
Birthplace: Lhavit
Occupation: Retired Shinya, combat instructor
Gnosis: 1 mark of Myri (Prowess level 1), 1 mark of Wysar (Evantia level 1)
Skills: Acrobatics - 60, Dual Wield - 34, Meditation - 40, Projection - 32, Riding (Okomo) - 30, Teaching - 35, Unarmed Combat - 62, Weapon (Rapier) - 55, Weapon (Tiger Hook Sword) - 53
***************ll************Languages: Common (Fluent),
***************ll************Myrian (Poor)
Rather youthful looking for her age, Kyra is a tall, leanly muscled woman with warm, dark skin, mischievous dark eyes, and a kind smile. Her long hair is twisted into neat locs, bleached blonde-white at the roots and then fading into a warm honey-brown. When other women ask her for her secrets, she just winks and tells them fun and exercise are the key to staying young.
Kyra was born and raised in Lhavit. Her mother was a visiting Myrian woman who became pregnant by a Shinya she became enamored with. She left soon after Kyra was born, and so Kyra was mainly raised by her father, Kellen.
Kellen raised her to follow the path he had taken, and Kyra always excelled in the more physical talents required of a Shinya. She has always taken combat seriously, but never herself, and like the city itself being split by day and night, considers the juxtaposition of serious and fun to be an important balance for any fighter.
Kyra joined the Shinya at a young age, and rose through the ranks equally young to eventually rise to become a Rider. She spent the majority of her time serving by working the night shifts, and besides a few rather interesting nights that she does not discuss, had a rather quiet career.
Eventually she felt her age was interfering with her duties, and so retired at the ripe age of 69. Since then she has kept to her training, and is known to be fit and strong even in her advanced age. She retired to a small but pleasant residence in the Okomo Estates, with her own in-home training room for practicing combat and working one's body. However, any who meet her would question her supposed reason for retiring, for if she is as skilled a fighter as she is now, she must have been a terror to any wrongdoer in her prime.
She keeps active in her community, and at times take on work training youngsters in the ways of combat and the Shinya. She is, however, picky with her students, and will not take on just anyone with the funds to hire her, seeing as she does not need the money she charges. Rather, she accepts those she sees has promise, or who she thinks might go the wrong way without some intervention.

Aja is a reclusive mountain witch who lives alone with her animal companions in the Unforgiving not too far from Lhavit; she settled near the city relatively recently, and will likely stay for some time. She keeps largely to herself, with little to nobody knowing of her presence, though she does on rare occasions venture into the city for supplies that she cannot obtain herself in the wilds.
Aja's father, now deceased at some point after Aja left home, was the Pathfinder who initiated her. He claimed that their families Pathfinding Djedline could be traced back to before the Valterrian when they were members of the Iraso guild (albeit lesser ones who initially survived more by chance and location). Whether this is true or not is hard to debate since there are no remaining written records to refer to, leaving only the oral history passed from one generation to the next.
He initiated all of his children at a young age, six in total born from three different mothers, of which Aja was the youngest.
Aja was the only child of his third and last wife, who was an Inarta. When Aja was old enough to travel, her father took both her and her mother from Wind Reach and to their family home elsewhere in Kalea, where Aja spent most of her childhood. Once Aja was weaned, her mother was allowed little to do with her upbringing, though she did make sure to teach Aja a bit of her heritage and how to use a bow passably.
Her eldest siblings were expected to focus on the family's purpose - Pathfinding. Learning their history to pass it on, growing their ability as a Pathfinder, and continuing their Djedline within and beyond Kalea. Aja, being the youngest, was mostly ignored by her father, who treated her more as a spare, which left her freer to explore her other interests than her elder siblings.
From a young age, Aja found that she enjoyed spending most of her time in the kennels and stables of Iraso animals, taking care of them and helping to train and handle them. She ended up spending more time with them and feeling more connected to the horses and dogs and goats than she did the human members of her family, feeling she could understand and care for animals better than she could people.
As she seemed proficient in it, she was mainly delegated to handling the animals and keeping them in check when out on hunts, and eventually on initiating new animals to their menagerie when needed. Over time, her skills developed and she grew her own crew of Iraso animal companions. Around the time she was coming of age and considering leaving the household, she was approached and marked by Caiyha, and made a mountain witch.
Once that occurred, no one could argue with her path, and so Aja left home to explore the wilds of the Kalean mountains and to work to bring balance to its ecosystems. She has not returned home since, and has seldom spent time inside of any human cities or places for more than short visits.
She learned morphing from another mountain witch who she spent some time with on her travels, giving her the ability to better pair with the animals and wilds, learning to turn into most of the animals of the appropriate size she could mimic for her skill level, such as cougars and boar.
Over the years she traveled to many places, spending time in one spot or another until she felt it was in balance and then moving on. It was on one such exodus, having brought balance to an area and searching for another place, that she passed near Lhavit.
By then her Iraso companions had grown large in number and type. There were the more common ones her family had held and trained such as a few foxes, a few Kalean Spicecoats, who were hounds well suited to the mountains, a mountain pony for riding and travel, and a pair of hawks for use in hunting and exploration. There was also a family of mountain goats who had become her Iraso companions, being the most numerous animal type of her companions in part since they were so well-adapted to the mountains and could go places on foot that the other land animals could not. Lastly was a large boar who had stubbornly followed along after meeting Aja, and had been joined into the growing Iraso family.
Due to her upbringing and life since leaving home, Aja is not overly comfortable around people, doing better with animals. In larger groups she tends to speak in short terse statements, avoiding eye contact and focusing on her Iraso companions, of which a few seem to be with her at all times. In smaller settings she does better, particularly one on one or perhaps two, conversing more easily.
She laughs easily, and does not take much of anything too seriously that is not serious. That is, unless it harms her, her friends, or the balance of the world around her, which she sees as her charge. In that case, she will quickly act to address the problem by whatever means she deems necessary. When riled up, she is confidence personified, not backing down and not letting anyone get away with something they should not.

Sefia Fadington
Name: Sefia Fadington
Race: Human
Birthdate: 474 AV
Birthplace: Lhavit
Occupation: Basketweaver, lonely widow
Skills: Cooking - 51, Foraging - 39, Gardening - 55, Sewing - 42, Singing - 15, Socialization - 84, Storytelling - 56, Weaving - 68
Languages: Common (Fluent)
Sefia was born and raised in Lhavit, never moving away from the cottage on Okomo Estates that she grew to love and admire. Her parents died when she was still a teenager, and soon her lover moved into the house, and within a few seasons they had married and Sefia was pregnant with their first child. Since then, Sefia has had many children, all of whom have grown up and moved into their own homes to start their own families. Unfortunately, in 518 AV, Sefia's beloved husband passed away due to an accident whilst hunting.
Sefia is a bright and vibrant woman who is desperately lonely, constantly looking for people to sit and talk with and enjoy the company of. As such, whether she is at home or out and about, she is always happy to engage in a conversation, no matter who you are. She is blissfully unaware of how this can impact others, and when people try to hurry the conversation along or excuse themselves from the conversation, Sefia tends to take offense and interpret this as rude, rather than someone politely trying to go about their business. It is easy to befriend Sefia, but equally easy to offend her.
Sefia can be found on irregular days in the Surya Plaza, or more rarely, the Azure Market, set up on an old rug and selling her hand-woven baskets. When not selling her wares, she can often be found in the garden of her cottage, singing off-key while she weeds or enjoying some fresh air while doing her weaving.
