Charoda question

I know that charoda can live in saltwater, and can survive on land for a little while, however can they survive I freshwater? I know many fish and amphibians can survive in both in real life. Can the charoda live permanently in fresh water, can't live but can survive longer than above ground, or equal to above ground?

Charoda question

I had my Charoda character swim around in a freshwater lake for quite a while, and no mod has cared so far, so I'm guessing the Charoda can live permanently in fresh water.
