in an effort to combat the growing problem of external spammers in the wiki, which even Captcha schemes haven't been able to curb, we have decided to disable editing rights for normal accounts. As of right now, only users in the "Contributors" user group can edit articles or upload an image. Your account will be added on demand, just ask a Founder to do it and they will set you up in a minute. I have already added a number of Domain Storytellers to the group, except those who are using exotic account names I'm not familiar with. Most AS's will need to be added. You can easily check if you can edit the wiki by looking at the left side menu. If there is an item called 'Edit', you're all set. If there is a 'View Source' item instead, you haven't been added and need to ask one of us to do it for you. Feel free to post here and tell us your account name if you'd like, or just post your request in the Help Desk.
We are sorry for the inconvenience but this is pretty much the only way to stop spam at the root. This is merely a technical step: all requests to be added will be honored. I also wish to remind you that most people won't even need a wiki account unless they wish to make edits or customize their settings. Thanks for your understanding!
