Basic Information
Race: Human (Drykas)
Birthday and Age: Winter 490 (21)
Gender: Male
Physical Description
Ishamael is of a normal cloth, he has startling green eyes, seeming the same shade of the grasslands that he calls home. Standing at 5' 11" tall he has a strong build, not overly muscular, but sculpted and formed from long hours out on the planes.
His face is framed by long wavy black hair, that is usually kept pulled back with a simple leather cord. His face is rugged, with a strong jaw line, runs to a small dimple in his chin. He has a long nose ending with a slight downturn at its tip. His eyes have a slight almond shape and are set slightly back in his head. thick dark eyebrows line his eyes, and a small amount of stuble usually lines his face, usually from not wanting to shave by flickering firelight. Ishamael has several worry and laugh lines around his young face.
Ishamael has a long sleeve tatoo on his left arm. The design is a tribal in design, sharp angles and wiring form around his arm. The coloring is dark black like most Drykas tattoos.
Ishamael wears the standard leather jerkin that many Drykas wear, with one modification. The left sleeve is missing allowing his entire tattoo to be seen at all times. His boots are long soft leather that come almost to his knees. They are worked in silver thread around the laces and tops of the boots. His normal green pants have silver highlights and designs and the coat he wears in colder weather is black, to enphasize the silver scrolling on the sleeves and collar. Also, his sturdy cloak seems to be all silver while being made of a stout wool, when needed.
Ishamael is never far from his sovnya, a polearm type weapon, as well as his curved short bow also worked in silver that was a present from his Ankal upon meeting his strider at the age of 14.
character Concept
Ishamael is a young man full of life and vibrance. He loves to laugh and joke, sometimes taking it to far. Some even call him a trickster, and often when something goes wrong he is to blame whether it was his doing or not. However, he is a man of duty, obeying the Seven Laws astudiously, if at times coming to disagree with others in his clan. Ishamael is very outspoken, and lets others know his ideas and feelings. He is quick to decisions and stands by them, and while stubborn, he can be made to see reason with the right argument.
Some would say he wears his heart on his sleeve, but that is not to be taken for weakness. He is a fierce warrior of the Diamond Clan, and can change from a laughing young man to a skilled warrior in the blink of an eye should it be required. His weapon of choice is the sovnya, and he wields it deftly as well as his bow, whether on horseback or on the ground.

Character History
Ishamael began life as most Drykas do by being born to the second wife of his Ankal, Rhurac, in the Cyphrus Grasslands. His life was that of a normal Drykas, he grew and he was cared for and loved. As he grew though his chores began and he noticed that the family was changing.
Ishamael was a "middle-young" child. Since Rhurac had two wives his family and was getting into his 40's when Ishamael was born, his family was quite large. Ishamael was not the youngest but rather in a younger group. As an Ankal's direct son he was expected to learn fast and be better for it. Ishamael did his best to honor his Ankal, but it was hard work, made harder by the deaths of his older brothers.
Death was not uncommon in the Shadowrunner Pavilion, or in any pavilion for that matter. Accidents were common enough, and others sometimes fell when their Pavilion, Diamond in nature, was called to defend the Grassland. Yet, this Pavilion seemed worse off sometimes. For every four sons, three seemed to die. And as such, Ishamael was shown death at an early age, even before he knew it. Yet, Ishamael struggled onward toward manhood, his tasks became more difficult, but he conquered each new task for his Ankal, to show his father he was a worthy son, if young, and sometimes troublesome.
By the time Ishamael was 9 he was starting mischief when given time to do so. His pranks were not harmful in and of themselves, no he studied the Seven Laws too much for that, but occasionally things went wrong. Like the time he had captured a young badger, his intent was to release the badger around the women then swoop and be the hero like those in the stories. However, when he released the badger, yound Ginelle was so surprised she ran and fell over a rug, catching her head on an end table. Ishamael quickly subdued the animal but it was too late. That incident had cost him....he couldn't sit right for a week, yet Ishamael never quite got over his pranks.
Still while Ishamael was known as a prankster when left to his own devices, none could dispute his work, no matter what he was doing. Ishamael threw himself into his chores even harder than he did his pranks. And that is most likely why his strider came to him when it did. Ishamael was 14 when it happened. It was a beautiful day on the grasslands, the wind was blowing in a joyous way that spoke of many good days to come. He was content, for today he'd finished his chores early and was watching the others with mares. The horses were beautiful, each in their own way, but Ishamael kept being drawn to one in particular. A tall, deep chested Strider, standing about 15hh tall. This Strider had a good rump, and with his chest spoke of speed as well as endurance. Yet, that was not what drew him to the Strider. The horse had an essence akin to his own. The horse felt playful....He stepped highly and quickly skirting the other horses, yet almost taunting them to try what he did. Occasionally jumping and bucking his hind legs up. the animal looked magnificent if untrained.
Ishamael unconsiously walked towards the animal, so absorbed by it that he hardly realized what he was doing, till he reached out to touch the animal. The strider balked backing away to look at him. Ishamael looked abashed, he knew a strider must choose its rider. He stood firmly not letting his emotions show for once. The strider, black with a white stipe on his face, as well as splashes of white around the feet and mixing into the mane and tail, "He was perfect for a diamond clan" Ishamael thought. As he stood the strider came towards him nuzzled his hand then whinnied flicking his head in invitation. It was done, Ishamael had been chosen.
Ishamael was exstatic quickly taking his strider, named Hopper, for their first ride to seal the bond. A week later he was marked with his first tattoo to commemorate the event. Years passed and Ishamael proved to be a deft rider, hunter, and a skilled warrior in training. The tattoos on his left arm ammassed and he was proud of his abilities. Others took notice as he aged, yet did not take a wife. On his 17th birthday he was forwardly asked why he had not married. His response, " I have not found the one yet". Still it irked some of the Pavilion that one such as he was still unwed.
The turning point of Ishamael's life however, came at the age of 20. He was about his work as usual, when his Ankal came to see him. Rhurac was now getting on in years pushing into the 60's but he still commanded great respect just with his presence. Ishamael gave his father great respect, even when the Ankal told him of his new duty.
"My son, you are well here yes? Well of course you are but now I have a new duty for you, one of great importance, and of great danger. You must not argue, though I know you will not understand it, for I myself do not fully understand. You must leave us for a time, go out into the world, there will be danger, but you must go. I have seen this from Zulrav, though he has not shown me all, he has plans for you in a greater scope than we can imagine, you must pack your things and venture out to dicover your destiny"
With these words Rhurac hugged and kissed his son, a sign of blessing, and left him to pack his things, and contemplate. Ishamael was in shock but did as he was told and packed all that he would need. He departed from the Pavilion in sadness, it was his home his life, but he still had Hopper and a new duty to attend to.
This is everything of importance to Ishamael till the present time.
