This shining population center is considered the jewel of The Sylira Region. Home of the vast majority of Mizahar's population, Syliras is nestled in a quiet, sprawling valley on the shores of the Suvan Sea. [Lore]

2nd Spring 511 AV

Shortly after entering the city of Syliras through the main gates, Malemar found that he was lost. Looking around him at the throngs of people going this way and that, seemingly all in a hurry, he wondered if anyone would stop and help him. It didn't look like it, but he didn't want to accept that.

'Excuse me,' he said, as he approached a large, muscular man on his way through town. He opened his mouth to continue, but the man gave him a sharp look without ever stopping, and he decided to change his mind about saying anything further to the man. An elderly woman approached from the other direction at a slightly slower pace, and Malemar attempted to attract her attention. She didn't even look at him as she went about her business, apparently noticing him as little as she would notice a fly on the other side of the street.

He decided he would sit down and think, and maybe take a break until the streets started thinning out of people. He didn't much like the crowds, he wasn't used to this many people at once. Slumping against a nearby wall, next to the opening of an alleyway, he sat and pondered, watching the people go past. There were many races here in the city, some he recognised, such as humans, kelvic and akvatari, as well as many that he didn't. Closing his eyes, he leaned his head back against the wall, taking in a little of the sunshine. The sun was still a rarity this time of year and gave of little warmth, but at least it was there.

Hadrian was wandering the streets as he often did to get his thoughts running in new directions when his chlorine blue gaze fell upon the overwhelmed newcomer. The young man's posture against the wall rather symbolized how he himself felt within the walls where he had grown up. Weary, as if he were a rat running a maze. Taking pity, perhaps, he leaned down to set a golden miza in the man's hand. It would get him something to eat, and one's prospects always looked brighter after a meal.

He intended no more interaction than that, and immediately stood up to go. There were thoughts to be thunk and, eventually, things to be done. The walking helped with the thinking, but it also got him where he needed to go so he could be productive.

Malemar looked down at the gold miza that lay in his hand. It glinted occasionally in the light as he turned it this way and that. He had barely a moment to see who it was that handed him the coin before he had disappeared to sight along the crowded streets. He smiled a little to himself, he was thankful of the strangers kindness, even if he didn't intend to stick around.

Malemar stood up and stretched quite dramatically, looking along the street, first one way, then the other, wondering which way he should go. He decided to head right, towards the centre of the city.

For a while he found himself wandering with no real purpose or direction, just walking wherever the city would take him. This way at the first junction, that way at the next. Right, left, right again. Eventually, after much wandering and pondering, he decided that he would go in search of a weaponsmith. He needed a sword - no adventurer could do without a weapon, it was unheard of in the tales he had been told as a youngster. Great adventurers destroying dragons and ogres with their mighty swords.

After almost an hour of searching, hugh and low and down many a backstreet, he eventually found himself standing outside of The Ironworks. Pausing for a moment, he looked up, not really taking much in. So on he went, into The Ironworks...

OOC: This thread has run its course, there is nothing further to do and I feel in need of a weapon. Moderators, please lock up and award experience (if any at all, I am unsure how it works here).
