The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

The Moon Festival

22nd Autumn 521AV

It was just before the dusk rest and Ari'Ellin was at the Azure Market, looking around a variety of stalls in search of something she could wear that night. It was the Moon Festival, but Ari had found that she didn't have many clothes that she was proud of. She only had her shirt and pants, but she wanted something nicer to wear.

Frowning, she looked around more and more stalls until she came across one stall selling a variety of clothes. They seemed to all be used, with varying amounts of wear and tear on them, but Ari couldn't help but grin as she looked through them until she found one. It was a purple dress that fell to just below her knees, with small amounts of black embroidery adding floral details to it. She pulled it out and held it up to her, checking how long it was. Some of the fabric along the bottom hem and on the hem of the sleeves had frayed, and there was a patch where the embroidery had come unstitched, mostly having fallen out of the fabric, leaving behind a darker discoloured patch.

"Sorry, how much?" she asked the stall attendant, holding up the purple dress for the man to see.
"That? Three Kina and 9 Topaz. It's been dyed and embroidered, and we had to restore some of it and stitch it back together." the man explained and Ari'Ellin nodded, before reaching into her pockets and pulling the money from it and handing it over, hurrying home with the garment.

Soon the dusk rest had past and the moon graced the skies. Ari'Ellin had changed into her new dress but still kept her coat on over it as she made her way to Alheas Park, having heard that many people went to the park to look at the reflection of the moon in the waters. She wanted to feel as though she was part of something, and how better to do that than to participate in the traditions of the festivals.

Smiling to herself, she couldn't help but notice the sheer number of candles and lanterns that had been lit. She imagined how it would look to the birds and pictured that Lhavit must look like the night sky when view from above. Sighing to herself she shook her head and tried to make a mental note to buy a candle before the end of the night.

Soon she made her way through the park until she could spot the water, and the reflection of the beautiful, serene orb that was the namesake of the festival. Something about it was serene and peaceful, perfect to give thanks to the god of the moon before people went to the more lively parts of the city to celebrate.

Silently she clasped her hands together and stared into the reflection, trying to work out how one should pray to Leth. She knew what to say and do to give thanks to Avalis, but as much as she appreciated the moon and it's gentle life, she was uncertain of how best to give thanks to the god that reigned over the moon.
