Appearance: The first thing that might strike you at first glance of Jazmin are her dark features against a light caramel skin tone. Her brown eyes are slightly sunken into her skull, but strong eyebrows that frame her face offset the effect. Her nose is willowy, and her lips are full though are always situated in a straight line. Her chocolate brown hair lightens at the tips and is curly, resting a little past her shoulders. Sometimes she wears thin braids with beads and other decor in her hair.

She stands at 5 '5 and weighs around 140 pounds, having a rather soft body curvature. She is not particularly athletic and relies more on her smarts to keep out of harm's way. The only identifying mark on her body is a symbol tattooed on her upper right arm, the Sitai family emblem. Her clothing is nothing to balk at, but no matter what she’s wearing, she always keeps a concealed dagger at her side. She changes her style according to where she’s at, trying to blend in as much as possible with the environment. She doesn’t necessarily want to stand out from the crowd unless the situation calls for it.

Character Concept

Nothing has ever been enough for Jazmin. She always wanted more, even when she had everything she could ever need. An unquenched thirst for control and influence burns inside of her from an unknown place. It may have something to do with her upbringing, being a dynasty member of the Sitai family. A dangerous game of power was just a normal part of life. Now that she’s left her home in Kenash, she feels a desire to succeed and thrive wherever she lands.

She takes after her family stereotypes more than she cares to admit. Partaking in good food, fine wine, strong drugs, and warm bodies is like second nature. She has made a living as a philterer and drug producer, using her family’s intoxicating formulas to keep customers coming back time and time again. This is no passion of hers, rather something she’s good at and that pays the bills.

It’s hard for her to make genuine connections with other people as she views most communication as a transaction. This might not be overt to the regular people she interacts with, but someone skilled in observation could pick it up. Many find it easy to trust her, but the feeling is almost never mutual. It would take a special reason or circumstance for her to form a legitimate attachment to someone. She tends to socialize on an as-needed basis, never reaching out unless to further her own agenda in some way. She’s rather cold and calculated, but outwardly tries to act like she gives a damn about other people’s feelings.

Character History

Jazmin had a standard dynasty brat upbringing, never straying far from what was expected of her as a Sitai. Though her home of Kenash was a beautiful town on the outside, the inside revealed an ugly interior of lies, betrayal, and deceit. She is indeed a product of her environment, learning at a young age the skills and taking on the traits she needed to stay afloat in their society. A unique mix of family members and friends exposed her to many cultures. Her mother, a Vantha, taught her the ways of the snow people, and her other dynasty friends, originating from various Svefra pods, instilled some of their values upon her as well.

A sibling rivalry between Jazmin and her sister Aria developed early on in her life, a constant game of one-upping or trying to get something over on the other. This never ending competition molded the way she approached the world as a whole in the future. Always guarded, always plotting. It also acted as a catalyst for her practice in hypnotism. She started taking lesson's from Kenash's renown hypnotism tutor, Cassandra Rossierre, who also became a good friend of hers in time. This was one of Jazmin's last ditch efforts to have the upper hand in the twisted games she plays with her sister.

As an adult she did what was required of her and started her own business as a medicinal herbalist. It was highly successful because of the illicit drugs she learned to produce and sell on the black market, using her store as a front. She kept at this for several years until an especially bad fight with Aria ensued. Winter of 521 AV she departed the only home she had ever known and traveled to the city of Sunberth in search of something more than the pointless politics of her family and the Kenash dynasties.
