The Protea Inn
Although it had only been naught but five days since Rhydian had arrived within Syka and become a resident of the lands, the Eypharian had managed to develop a few interesting relationships. There was the owner of the inn that he had been staying at, Taz, whom he had gotten along with splendidly. There were also a couple of children from the children's pavilion that he had managed to develop a somewhat sturdy relationship with. Young Brea and Luke had allowed for Rhydian to feel as though he were truly himself for the first time in a long time. Having the opportunity to explore the settlement and make friends here and there... Those that had blessed him with their presence likely wouldn't ever understand just how much they had meant to him.
It is thanks to this profound sense of respect that he has for this group of people that Rhydian had found himself interested in spurring things along for building up his family. The Eypharian had figured that it wouldn't be best to reside within the Protea Inn forever, despite how much he had enjoyed waking up to be able to see Tazrae, and as such he had found himself wandering along the shores of Syka. From what he could remember of the tour that Tazrae had given him, there had been a few other locations in which one could reside. Either them could develop their own home on the shores, after having acquired some property from the founders of Syka, or they could move into one of the buildings that had already been up and in need of residents. Unsure of which route he had really even wished to take here, Rhydian had decided to give a brief look at the places that might have been available for next season.
The Bungalows
From what he could remember, there had been two main residential areas in which one could reside. There had been the bungalows and the overwater ranchos. Figuring that he might as well give them both a once over, Rhydian would continue to walk along the shores. Eventually though, as he had managed to have found himself passing through the bungalow filled area, a soft voice had been heard coming from nearby. "Honestly, I think that I'm going to have to pick up another gig at this rate. If I am going to get those trinkets, it feels as though I am going to have to step up my game. Aren't most of the inhabitants on the island capable of escorting themselves now though?"
Not quite sure what was being spoken about, the Eypharian would stop in his tracks and move a bit closer to the source of the voice. After a few more steps, thanks to his vast height, Rhydian would find himself looking through an empty doorway and into one of the many bungalows that had encompassed the area. Peering into this doorway, Rhydian's eyes would subtly fall upon an auburn haired beauty with a unique set of antlers placed atop of her head. The very sight had greatly intrigued Rhydian given that this was the first time that he had ever seen such beauty. Honestly, the Eypharian had found himself staggered a bit upon laying eyes on the woman. This would only last for so long though before the woman would turn about.
A bit shocked by the fact that someone had been watching her from just outside of her home, the woman would leap back a bit. "H-hey..! Who are you and what are you doing creeping into my place like that?!" Rhydian immediately found himself a bit confused at first, seeing as how he hadn't really considered his actions to be creeping into her home. He could understand where it was that she was coming though and as such, he himself would take a few steps back on his own. As he would do this, the Eypharian would raise all six of his arms up in defense. "I-I'm sorry ma'am... I was passing by and overheard your voice. I guess that your beauty just really caught me of guard..!" A bout of awkward laughter would filter through the Eypharian's lips after that statement but at least this had managed to subdue the woman for the time being.
"Right... Are you new around here? I've never seen your face and I am sure that I would recall seeing another Eypharian that wasn't Brea." Already the two had been off to a strange start.. but she had known Brea! With that having been the case, Rhydian himself would begin to feel a bit more comfortable with the situation. "Yes ma'am.. I only got here a couple of days ago. I've been spending a chunk of my time at the Protea Inn so that might be why we haven't met.. I'm Rhydian! Rhydian Lamoze." Not wishing to be rude to a prospective customer, the woman's lips would subtly begin to curl upward into that of a reassuring smile. "So you are new to Syka. That is good to know. Are you perhaps lookin' for a guide of sorts?" A bright smile now overtaking the one that had been plastered upon her face previously, the woman would close the distance between the two and would offer a hand. "The name's An'un. An'un Dui."
