The Syka NPC Tracker Thread

This thread is to help all of us keep track of what those pesky NPCs are up to around us. It also helps us interact with them, knowing if they have pasts or issues with other NPCs or even with PCs. We want to keep them on the straight and skinny if possible.

So how do we use this Tracker? It's simple. List the NPC and things you know about the NPC or have established in thread. You can post the link to the thread if you'd like... that can be super helpful. So... what should you list?

• Any training an NPC does with you.
• Any relationships you establish with NPCs (friends, enemies, lovers, etc).
• Any NPC and NPC interactions (friends, enemies, lovers, etc).
• Any quirks or personality issues NPCs might have.
• Anything another PC might need to know....

Everything is potentially relevant. Please just let us know what your doing with our city NPCs.

Goss

[Tazrae]

Duncan Maelstrom

He's in a committed relationship with Murine from The Redynn in the Outpost. She cured his blindness (or has mostly cured it... its still a work in progress) and he fell in love with her in the process.

Duncan inducted Tazrae into Reimancy in the Winter of 520 A.V. In a series of threads called Slow Burn. He became her first and only lover in those threads during the induction. Duncan and Tazrae were dating when Duncan met Murine. Murine, a healer in The Outpost, was able to reverse Duncan's blindness. Tazrae was hit hard when he broke it off with Taz, admitting how he fell for his eyesight's savior. Taz steers clear of him, but he feels protective of her because of being her djedfather.

Graceliln

Gracelin is one of Tazrae's closest friends. She's teaching her Machete and has invited her along with Juli, Cleo and Shiress to form up a Quintet they've called Azure. Taz is aware Gracelin is Vantha. They've never talked about it openly and Gracelin isn't admitting it... but Tazrae is 90% sure she is.

Rainmere

Taz feels particularly close to Rainmere. The woman has taught her a great deal about firedancing and has helped her control her Reimancy.

Rainmere and Gracelin will be an integral part of Tazrae's coming to terms with her sister being in Syka and connecting to her.

[Shiress]

Artik Gulfwave

Shiress met the blacksmith after visiting his forge while seeking out a more metallic solution to a medical emergency. Of course, the man was drunk.

Something about the blacksmith in his stupor stirred the doctor's nurturing instinct, and Shiress, along with Antelopes, offered to help Artik overcome the battle he is wagering with his mind and body and get him sober.

Artik neither accepted nor refused the offer, but Shiress is true to her word, and the offer will remain until the blacksmith is ready to heal.


Senora

Shiress met the young orphaned girl aboard The Veronica on the long voyage to Syka after Senora and Shiress's son, Ian, became friends.

Senora had been quiet for most of the voyage to Syka, secluding herself from the other children, seeking refuge in dark corners, so wrapped up in her filthy cloak that only the girl's unique eyes could be seen. Shiress had shamelessly used her toddler son to break through Senora's thick, protective walls, having Ian take the girl's meals and snacks and coaxing her into playing with him as only a determined little boy could.

Little by little, over the days and weeks, Senora opened up to the toddler and, through Ian, to Shiress. By the last leg of the journey, Shiress had the girl talking, sharing meals with Shiress and her son, and sleeping nearby, often cuddled up close to her new friend, Ian.

Senora still didn't share much of herself with the doctor, but Shiress did learn that the girl was Vantha, and it didn't take much for her to deduce that Senora had lost her parents because of their race.

Shiress, Ian, and Senora share a closeness that Shiress covets and will, perhaps one day, finally decide for Senora to become a permanent part of Ian and Shiress's little family.


Lexi (WIP)

After taking over the care of the children at the beginning of Summer 522, Shiress noticed a worrying side to Lexi. A side that spoke of boredom, mischief, and all things not what Shiress thought an ordinary fourteen-year-old girl ought to be doing.

But, Shiress also saw another side to the Lexi. A more caring side seemed to shine through when the doctor assigned Lexi the occasional task of participating in a medical procedure or watching over the sick or injured.

When Shiress approached Lexi about becoming a sort of apprentice to her, a nurse in training, Lexi readily agreed. Shiress promised that when she felt Lexi was ready, she would accompany the girl in approaching the Founders to have her hired on as Shiress's permanent assistant.

Lexi confided in Shiress that she would very much one day like to be a doctor, and Shiress vowed to the young girl that she would walk beside her the entire way.

[Rhydian Lamoze]

Brea

Ever since Rhydian had met her, on the 4th of Summer (522 A.V.), the two have managed to establish some kind of connection. Given that they are both outcasts of the same species, the two have managed to bond over that fact and many other things. Of course Brea wasn't exactly sure whether or not she could trust another Eypharian, after everything that had happened in her past, but eventually the two had managed to develop this level of comfort around one another. Although he hasn't mentioned it to her yet, Rhydian has full intent on adopting the young Eypharian girl and bringing her into his family. He is simply trying to tie up some lose ends before that point so that she has a place to go.

Lily Hess

Although the two haven't really spoken all that much outside of their initial encounter, Lily Hess had gone out of her way to speak with the Eypharian about several of the gods and goddesses whose sigils had encompassed that of the Monolith. The only divine entity in which neither of the two can piece together anything about had been the one whose sigil had been three massive claw marks.

[Tazrae]

Little Updates

Jaelis

He's temporarily helping out at The Protea while Tazrae gets back on her feet. He won't be doing any major work, but he will be cleaning and serving food and generally hanging out doing character development stuff.

Ixams

Sunny

This golden Ixam as decided to hang out with Kamrae ala 'Kami'. She's taken a liking to Tazrae's twin and will be spending a lot of time with her.

The Scarlet Male

This Ixam has accepted Alric as a rider. The relationship is up to that PC and the usage of the NPC. He still lives at Garden Beach and is the dominant male in that lounge.

Stoker

This yellow and red hatchling (possibly an offspring of Sunny and the scarlet male) followed Mitt home and decided that's his human. He's currently approximately the size of a medium-breed dog. He will get a lot bigger though.

Frost

This albino hatchling hangs out at Garden Beach. He's pearly white with pink eyes. Parentage unknown. He's about the size of Stoker... from the same clutch most likely or a clutch from a different female laid about the same time.

[Kamilla]

Jehu

Jehu and Kamilla met in the Summer of 519, while helping to repair the settlement’s structures after the storm. He was afflicted with the Jungle Fever at the time, which manifested as an obsession with Kamilla that only grew in intensity as the season continued. Later in the season he saw Kamilla wandering into the Sunken Ruins revealed by the low tide and followed after her… finding and saving her from drowning in a pit of water in one of the ruined buildings. From there the two defended against a group of mysterious fish like creatures and fled the ruins, his obsession paired with her gratitude for being saved… along with their experience, bonding them somewhat.

When Fall 519 came around and Jehu found himself transformed into a monstrous Zith, he sought out Kamilla in hopes that the mage could provide some answers or comfort. Thankfully Kamilla was not deterred by his new form and their bond grew slightly more. From then on the duo had several dinners together growing closer with each, Jehu somehow managing to make his way through her cold exterior with a mixture of interest and patience.

By the time Winter 519 had come around the pair’s mutual but unspoken attraction had grown to that of close friends and by season end, they finally shared their first kiss in Kamilla’s cave home. Unfortunately, it was also at that exact moment that her Vanishing Curse had first activated leaving Jehu without a clue as to why she’d disappeared.

For the next two years, Jehu continuously checked on Kamilla’s home hoping for her return and looking after her pets Yennefer and Roo… eventually just moving in when it seemed the mage wouldn’t return, still he held out hope.

Upon Kamilla’s eventual return in Fall 522, both Kamilla and Jehu were happy to see eachother, sharing a night of passion as well. Although he is still living with her and they share some intimacy, the actual details of their relationship have yet to be discussed.

Ken Chi

The two met after Yennefer, Kamilla’s yowlwing darted off into the jungle with Kamilla running after her and Ken after the mage. They eventually managed to find Yennefer and fought off a wild rattler dhani together.

Now the two of them one step above acquaintances, having a bit of a routine of bumping into each other, Ken flirting with Kamill(as he does every other woman he comes across), some brief small talk and moving on.

James Chaliva

Kamilla and James knew of eachother as fellow residents of Syka, but during Fall 522 they met. James and his crew coming upon a naked emaciated and unconscious Konti covered in blood and floating on a makeshift island of ice in the middle of the Suvan. Recognising the Konti as Kamilla, James pulled her aboard his ship and helped bandage and feed her during the remainder of the Veronica’s trip home…

The two shared a few brief conversations and Kamilla finds herself both grateful to the captain for saving her and simply quite fond of him… seeing him as a bit of a father like figure.

[Taln]

43 Fall 522 AV Evening Taln meets Rainmere that night and they take a carnal liking to each other. Not a committed relationship at all, it's more of a friends with benefits thing. And a savage thing with no name for it with Seraya. To anyone else it looks more like they're trying to kill each other. It's just foreplay...
