[Discussion] Vampirism in Mizahar

Hi folks!

Recently, I've been doing some light reading because well work has been slow and I've been running out of things to read. I discovered the paranormal romance section of my local bookstore and discovered vampire smutt. Now if you've never read any of this, I bet your giggling madly. But the truth is, Vampire smutt is a really legitimate industry and a valid artform. I've read a few books... I'll gladly give you the list, and since I've been bombarded with hunky immortals, I've decided Mizahar is probably ready for Vampirism.

So... in the light of that and the fact that a couple people have submitted really OMG KILLER Character Sheets involving vampires, I've decided we truly do need to allow these really awesome characters on the site.

In this light, I'm working on the writeup today. If anyone has any suggestions on how to best incorporate Vamprirism into Mizahar with a unique twist to its got a new and shiney feel to it... please post them here.

Bust out the glitter and do it right. Also must be dark and brooding. And likes classical musical. And is in no way gay. At least not openly. Probably a Kelvic/Konti mix gone horribly right, with a hint of Zith for realistic measure

They obviously have to have Telekinesis.

And Gillar has to add Hair Gel in the Price List when this race gets added.

Someone in chat suggested we start them out with 500 skill points... or 100 skill points per 100 years they have been alive. Does everyone think that sounds fair? I mean, they'd be special permission at this point, but I can go with that for the beefier skillset. We can have folks write a story about how they were 'embraced' but we can't call it that cause you know.. Anne Rice has the corner of the market on that one... and submit it to the HD for final approval before we let them play.

So do other races get the 100 skill points per 100 years too?

And glitter/superglue prices will skyrocket! *buys all that he can find in hopes of reselling for double*

What about half-vampires? Would they get less? Maybe 50 skill points per 100 years?

I have this great idea for a character who's the tragic child of a woman who was bitten and turned by a vampire before she gave birth, and the child that was born had all of the vampire's strengths, but none of the weaknesses.

Hating vampires forever, he goes on a quest to kill them.

No. But I do like the hair gel idea. I was thinking we could give them wings too. Something that can materialize and dematerialize at will. Then, cause the Zith have batwings, we'll use feathered wings instead with colors. That'd be a great new twist on an old theme.

Keep the ideas coming. I added telekinesis to the writeup too. Ohhh... half vampires. I'm not sure. They might just be too powerful to reproduce normally. Then they can kinda all sit around emo-like about not being able to have children.

Oh, man, Goss finally. Jeez, I've been waiting for the vampires forever, I can't tell you how awesome this is. I'm bursting with ideals. Also, I found this AMAZING source for vampires. Here!

But if that doesn't work for you, I've got more. Just to give it that original Mizahar flair we could totally base it off this guy. He should start with at least a 50 in Mathematics btw.

If you're already not frothing at the naughty bits (I mean, I know you are.) then here, we can also try this. He's so totally cool. I mean, he's got a freakin' Katana. I know, I know, we'd need to give him at least the five hundred skill points that is requisite for vampires, but can we add super strength? And speed? I mean, they're vampires.

Vampires are the coolest. Things. Ever. I already have my next character planned. His name is Maximillion. I'm stoked.

If they aren't 100 can they still have like 80 points or something I thought necessary skills like running swimming jumping reading writing and so on should be able

also i thought that vampires were everywhere already. i wanted to do one but it didnt give me the option to pick in the race list so if this is new can i still do that
