74 Fall 522
Sitting silently in his room, Moritz felt the bed beneath him as he sat on the edge. Focusing for a moment he looked down at his wrist, going through the charms there. After a few moments he found one in particular, a small golden coin. He vaguely knew how it was used, but had not yet prepared or actually used it.
Laying back across the bed to relax himself, Moritz then did as he understood from when he received the item... Relaxed... Cleared his mind... And focused on the idea of home. Being in Sunberth, his literal home was this room... But only sort of. Along with that was Infinity Manor back in Lhavit... But he did not think going there just yet was the best idea... No, Syka. Syka was in a way his home, even if he had moved away. And with that he did think going back would be nice. In some ways it was much more relaxing than Sunberth. No fear of being stabbed or robbed every other step, which meant constantly keeping up ones guard. It had other dangers, but was relatively crime free.
His eyes clothed, Moritz began thinking of the place. Of course the first place he thought of was the building he had stayed in, the rented bungalow on the side of the road away from the beach... First things first he focused on the front. Most of it was wood, with some things to keep out bugs but mostly open to allow air to circulate... Otherwise, he knew, it would get quite hot.
On the front side it was a few steps up leading to the front door. This was because the ground floor of the bungalow was not directly on the soil, but lifted up. This also meant there was a space below the structure, an opening for storing items and such... But also meaning if there was a storm surge, flood, or otherwise a rush of water, the living area would stay high and dry. One by one he tried to picture each of these things in his head, each element of the house, slowing working his way along it.
The front, a few steps leading up to the door, not solid but covered only for insects... When the rain was fierce it did not necessarily keep dry inside, since it could not ward off water drops but merely bugs.Still it was drier there than being outside of a roof when a sudden storm of rain came through...
Picturing it in his head, he imagined walking along the path, seeing the bungalow from that side... Walking nearer... And then in his mind he pictured a bird, and recalled the crow that he often ran into there, that had seemingly taken up residence atop his abode... In fact, said crow had given him several items including many charms on his wrist right now.
With a sigh Moritz tried to clear his mind once again, pushing away thoughts of the bird, but the more he tried to stop thinking about it the more it flooded his mind.
