The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

10 Winter 522

Sitting laid out across his bed, Moritz closed his eyes, putting one hand down off the side to stroke at Naymon's head before focusing on the task at hand.

In some ways his stay in Lhavit felt long... In others, it felt as if he had just gotten here. But preparing to leave was something he needed to do. Which meant once more charging his Homefinder token. This time his destination was another new one, namely Sunberth. Though with how Sunberth felt about magic, it was something he needed to be particularly careful about.

At the moment his home in Sunberth was at the Drunken Fish, a nice enough place by Sunberth standards. And more importantly the point he needed to actually appear, which was his room there. This though would be trickier than some of the other sessions, since as he focused on seeing the room in his mind he realized how bare it was. Wooden walls, ceiling, and floor. Not the newest wood, but not foul or rotten or moldy which by Sunberth standards was pretty good. A blank floor and ceiling. Four walls, one of which had a door made of wood and a brass handle with a lock leading of the room to a hallway. A window which he kept barred and locked, and was harder to enter through than the semi-easily lockpicked door. In fact it was even tricky to open from inside, let alone someone outside trying to get in. Likely they would try the easier to enter door with just a single lock and one that was obviously reachable from the outside.

For furnishings there was not much either. A bed with a straw mattress, and somewhat rough sheets. He called himself lucky it had a pillow, as not all the rooms seemed to. Or perhaps someone was just selling them, so only certain people were given one and not all guests were.

There was a wooden chest of drawers with no lock, which could be used to store clothes and things. At the moment not much was kept there, as Moritz did not own a ton of clothes and the few outfits he did have he tended to keep with him in his pack.

Next to the bed was a small bedside table of sorts, or perhaps just a normal table but being used to serve the function of a bedside table... There was also a roughly made bench, which looked like someone using driftwood with one eye closed could have made a more well shaped thing. But still it had no large splinters hanging off to cut you, nor nails poking it, so while not nice it wasn't dangerous. There was also a small privy through a door on another wall, with a lock inside his room to keep anyone in the bathroom from entering his room but still allowing him to open it and go inside if he needed to. At the moment he had left no one had been in the adjoining room, but he had still kept the bathroom door barred just in case. In fact he had locked himself in the room before leaving, which might raise a few questions, but likely not too many...

As he thought of each of these elements of the room one by one he tried to build up the entire place, but found it difficult to hold the entire image. Of all of the places he had charged his Homefinder for it was the one he had been at the least, and just from past experience he could tell he had not finished charging it.

[Infinity Manor]A Home Returned III

Lying on the bed with his eyes still closed, Moritz kept at his working of charging the Homefinder token. Having gone over each article of the room for now Moritz focused on seeing the entire room in his mind, but was unsure what else he could do to further define it. He did not want to expand his radius outward like he had with Syka, since he needed to land exactly in his room... Appearing from no where in Sunberth, Moritz did not have to live there long before knowing that would be a bad idea...

Thinking on it further Moritz decided to instead focus on actions, or visualizing the room as he did various things. If nothing else it gave him something new to do without retreading the same thing over and over again.

Picturing himself in his most neutral setting, unarmed and bare handed and just wearing the one piece suit he commonly wore and so knew quite well, he imagined himself standing in the middle of the room. However rather than seeing himself from his own eyes, he imagined looking down on the room from above like the roof had been pulled out and a bird could see in.

From there he focused on both his body and the room, imagining himself moving around. First he bent over and put both hands on the bench, picking it up. He tried to recall the sensations from the prior occasion when he had touched it, but his memory of the moment was not so good that he could recall all of the sensations. He knew it had been rough, not too well made, but not total trash. Someone if nothing else had done some minor finishing work to keep it from getting jagged or bad. Still it was usable, and being fully intact it was not so bad for Sunberth.

Smiling to himself he imagined his mental image self also smiling, as he realized he had been repeating that phrase a lot when describing things. Not bad for Sunberth... Bad, but not for Sunberth. A rude person, but decent by Sunberth standards. In some way he realized he had been adjusting his expectations since coming to Sunberth. He expected people to act differently when coming to that place, and was more on guard. He also considered people passable at a lower threshold, whereas in other places he would likely consider those same people bad or at least neutral.... But then it made sense to the Kelvic, since he had come to understand a bit of the people of Sunberth, its customs, expectations, and such. If nothing else he felt it was a sign he was learning to understand other people and places more.

Setting the bench down he stretched his arms, reaching up for the ceiling. It was not so low he could touch easily such as on a boat, but with his height he did not need to go far to touch it above him. More wooden planks, rough but solid, as was the rest of the establishment. As he thought on this Moritz saw the building as a whole for a few moments, but then honed his attention back to the room he stayed in, keeping focused on keeping that the idea of his home and not anywhere else in it.

It was as he was running the room through his mind again that he felt it. Bed across the floor. Not a ton of space. A place to store clothing. A small table, and a door leading into a connected bathroom... And then he felt it, that sense of doneness, and was fairly certain he had finished charging the token. With a sigh he let his mind free and sat up on the bed while opening his eyes, looking around at Infinity around him. He loved the place, felt safe and grew up there, but he was unsure how many more times he would be able to visit, when he would have time to get away to see it again... A sad thought to settle his mood once more.

Once he had said his goodbyes and was ready he grasped the coin, and spoke the word "home", appearing the next moment back in his room in Sunberth... He was home.
