Day 57, Winter 510 AV
Ricky carried his basket full of smelly fish, some decent in their size while others smaller. His rods tapped each other with each step he took. he carried on toward the market with hopes that he would make some Mizas or Nilos to help his funds. Mizas are more important if I'm to travel, but Nilos could be used to by some food for Odis.
Odis, Ricky's faithful friend, playfully ran around with a wet stick he had found on the shore. They had grown fond of each other, and in the last few years Odis had rarely left Ricky's side. As they continued further down the sandy shore they stopped close to the docks to sit and rest. The sun sat high in the sky and sea gulls flocked about looking for easy food. "Resting here probably isn't a good idea," Ricky thought out loud. "But i suppose you can could keep the pests from our fish. Right boy?" he asked as he rubbed the dogs head.
As Ricky watched his best friend, only the stick remained close. Odis had shifted his attention to a crab that lay in the sand not far from his two legged companion. Hesitantly, the dog's snout inched closer and closer to the strange crustacean.
"Odis that crab will snip ya!" Ricky called out. It was too late however and the dog flinched back with a yipe. Offended by the sheer impertinence of the creature, Odis started barking at the crab even as he backed toward Ricky, who could only laugh. "Some brave dog you are!" He said with a grin.
