Physical Appearance
Karigan is, for all intents and purposes, a regular human woman. Long brown hair frames a tanned, oval face set with vibrant, clear green eyes. Standing around 5’6”, she is of average height though she often seems taller through the way she holds herself. Her body is lean but corded with muscle from her training as a Squire within the Syliran Knights.
She dresses practically, thanks to her training and upbringing. Long trousers, knee-high leather boots and shirts in earthy tones are her favoured clothing. Her hair is often in a single braid down her back to keep it out of her way. Her only form of adornment is a single gold ear cuff in the shape of a vine worn on the top of her right ear.

Concept
On the surface, Karigan is a hardworking and somewhat serious individual, and loyal to a fault. She is very good at hiding her emotions from others unless they are a trusted friend, though there is not a person she can currently give such a title to, much to her (hidden) sadness. Karigan was born to a Syliran Knight, and thus their ideals and way of being became a core part of her upbringing. She holds their ideals when it comes to how she behaves – generosity, patience, integrity and honour are important to her.

Pre Creation:
Born in Syliras to James and Tia (a Syliran Knight and a seamstress), Karigan grew up believing she would follow in one of her parent's footsteps. And she did, at least for a time. As soon as she was old enough Karigan joined the ranks of the Knights as a Page, running errands and messages around the city alongside her lessons.
It was during her time at one of her Knight sponsor’s homes that she took an interest in medicine. The Knight’s wife was a healer and Karigan would often pepper her with questions and occasionally accompany her to the Citadel clinic to help with the more menial tasks like cleaning and fetching.
When she turned thirteen, Karigan moved into the Citadel to start her training as a Squire. Her chosen weapon was the sabre and she practiced with it every day alongside her other lessons. She also continued to spend time at the Citadel clinic for her interest in medicine had not abated with age, and soon she had managed to persuade one of the senior matrons to teach her small things here and there.
When she was 16, Karigan was on a leisurely ride out of the Citadel with a Knight by the name of Tyran. It was a time of peace and prosperity for Syliras and so the pair weren't expecting any issues and therefore weren't on their guard. A mangy, skinny wolf managed to sneak up on the pair while they were taking a break and mauled Tyran's leg before the beast was killed. Karigan despaired at her lack of knowledge and ability to heal him and Rak'Keli appeared to her to gift her with the Healing Gnosis. From that point onward, Karigan moved to study medicine more thoroughly, her Squire duties now secondary with the aim of being a healer for the Knights.
