A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Ciel Galen

The clerk nodded and took Ciel's form, quickly reading it over. If the man knew anything about Ciel's mother he didn't say it, because instead he set the paper down and began rummaging through his files. A moment later he withdrew an employment registry for the Healing Hand.

"We are actually in need of all the healers we can get. Ever since the storm, the doctors have been overworked and understaffed. Some of them lost their lives, and they've been overwhelmed by the injured that continue to pour in."

The man jotted down Ciel's information and then handed the sheet of paper to him. "Were you looking to be an actual doctor, or one of the medical assistants? We need both right now."

Yaotl

The clerk nodded and pulled out a sheet of paper, quickly jotting down all of Yaotl's information and stamping it with the seal of the Ebonstryfe. "Alright then. Here is your proof of employment. Just bring it to the estate and they'll put you to work. Have a nice day." The clerk waved Yaotl off, returning to his files as he awaited the next person in line.

1st Summer 512 AV

Jay walked into the large center and up to the desk.

"Hello I would like a job, something to do with voiding"

Jay looked around, he needed something to eat. He was so hungry, Mice! That was what he would get once he was out of here. lots and lots of mice. He was aching to eat mice now. He needed it now. Just calm down Jay, he thought, you will get out soon enough and then you can eat.

"I can open man sized portals if that helps" Said Jay "But no anchors"

I wish they would just hurry up and let me get out, thought Jay, Please hurry up!

Summer - 1 - 512

A soft smile ran along the young mans lips as his pale hands ran along his simple, white, shirt. His right green eye blinking, his left closed as he came inside the building, just standing waiting for his right eye to recover from the sun. After a few seconds in which his smile had faded he looked around the Center of Employment. It did one other thing in which he one day hoped would be able to do but for now he just had to find his will and inner resolve as he took one step forward.

He knew what he had to do for his life was spent in the city. Even just hearing people was good enough but he had done small jobs and came to here once or twice but mainly working with owners lifting crates or such just to earn a silver or two to keep food on his plate and mouth.

Name: Sam Leaie

Age: 22

Relevant Skills: Cooking, Philtering, Herbalism

Past Experience: None to field.

- Goal -

Goal is to become a owner of a bar or tavern. However would like to work on my skills to better myself for one season before applying for a loan for the goal.

The information was wrote down, along with a tad bit more for the person who would take it. He rather would get to the point and not waste their time with back and forth banter and asking the same questions. So he would wait for a open cell then give the paper to the person when they were ready.

If he could run his own place then he would try for the loan and see if he could hire any aides.

Jay Dasher

The man at the desk blinked in confusion and looked at Jay skeptically. Clearing his throat and running a hand through his hair, he set his pen down on the desk.

"Sir, I have no idea what you are talking about. What is.. voiding? And what's all this nonsense about portals and anchors?"

Jay must have forgotton that most people in Mizahar didn't know very much about magic, except that it was scary and dangerous. Very few knew the names of those magics, and even fewer knew the technical terms behind him. Jay might as well have been speaking another language to the man.

Sam Leaie

When Sam's turn to be helped came up, the woman at the desk was quite pleased to find he'd already filled out his application, and it was done properly. This meant she was able to find him a job much easier.

"So, you'd like to own a tavern but want some experience first? I can help you with that. Right now there are two places hiring that need work. Tarsin's Boarding House is accepting applications for a cook to make morning meals for the tenants. His daughter used to do the cooking, but she was lost in the storm. Also, the Nitrozian household is looking for a new assistant chef, if you're interested in working in the private sector. Do either of these interest you?"

Two choices were given to him. Two hard choices in his eyes. One, a stable but odds are low paying job. While the other was a private area which meant higher pay but less stable. The Nitrozian was known in Ravok for being one of the top families if not THE family in the city.

He did not answer at first. He first had to weigh his choices but he had to go with the risky Nitrozian family then the other. Even just a season he would be able to learn a lot and with luck he could be the head chef in a matter of seasons.

“I don’t look the part for the Nitrozian family however I will take it. Is there anything I need to know before I take the job? Any information on the last chef or what they are looking for? Also will the pay be dealt with you or them?”

The questions were simple enough but once they were answered he would then sign any paperwork then by on his way to his new job. He did not have any outfit for the job and had hoped that would be taken care of but he could stop by a place and buy it without problem.

Jay realized that this man was not a mage or anything and must be very confused. ""Oh, I am very sorry, is there any inns that I could work at to get some experience, I only have experience in rem- sorry making and using fire, making doorways that only go into one place and drawing symbols which enhance these two things" said Jay. They should teach magic in schools now, he thought, especially after the djed storm this spring.

5th of Summer - 512 AV

Rezren didn’t like the prospect of a job one bit. The freedom of unemployment had been both familiar and welcome, but the shackles of poverty began to spoil the good feelings. In addition, the young man found himself listless and fairly bored. The adventure that jobs seemed to inhibit came seldom these days so he may as well get a job in the meantime. Rezen considered that the job could offer interesting opportunities and experiences. It could answer the unasked questions regarding his identity whose ambiguity had him lost in a sea of conflicting ideals.

He walked into the Center for Employment and Business Licensing with an apathetic stride. He went up to an empty desk and snatched up one of the forms. Rezren sketched own the information it requested quickly. He didn’t want to spend too much time in the center, but a part of him was a little excited to see the hand he would be dealt.

Name: Rezren
Age:20
Relevant Skills: Intelligence, Short Sword, Shield
Past Experience: A little experience as an Intelligence Contact, A bit of Mercenary Work

A job as some sort of spy wouldn’t be too bad. After all, all the information collected would be as much his as the person he gave it to even if the importance couldn’t be fully grasped.

The minor excitement was dulled by his life's greatest disappointment; that he certainly couldn't be knight... The idea of taking such a menial job devoid of stature, purpose, or power had him silently cursing his own shortcomings in life, but he decided that he would just need to find greatness some other way. Rezren realized that his self reflection had him staring at the completed form for longer than the man behind the desk probably had patience for.

Rezren handed the paper to the man behind the desk deliberately after deciding to repress his self-judgement for the time being and focus on the present...

1st of summer 512 Av

Bojovnik walks into the building looking around admiring the architecture of the building. He walks up to the desk where he assumed he would talk to someone about getting a job.

" I'm in town looking for some mercenary work to do, nothing set in stone just maybe if you got a few jobs now and again I could do them since I don't really know how long I'm going to be staying."

He asked as he fixed his handaxe on his belt so it wouldn't fall off while he was talking.

5th Summer, 512 AV

Tanjun entered the office of the CEB, her face clouded by anger. She hadn't heard of her brother in ages and that when he promised to contact her. Right now her cash reserves, that her brother had built up for her, were running low and if she wanted to keep eating, training and maintaining her stuff, she would have to get a job.
It might be a bit hard on her since she was also busy training to join the ranks of the Ebonstryfe, in hope of being able to protect her brother that way.

She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do to request a job, but after seeing another man filling in a sheet, she managed to figure it out. After filling the sheet out, she went over to the cleric to turn it in.

Name: Tanjun Vorot
Age: 17
Relevant skills: Weapon(Glaive), Acrobatics.
Past experience: Does being an apprentice of the Ebonstryfe count?

The bad thing was that her handwriting was just horrid. The cleric would have trouble reading it. "Ugh, I hate my handwriting. Brobro always said that I shouldn't try, but I just have to when I want to get a job right?", she thought to herself.
I'm smiling, so you might want to start running.
