Race: Chaktawe (Suli Tribe)
Gender: Female
Birthday and Age: Season of Summer, Day 14, 492 (18 years old)
Height and Weight: 5.5’ and 140 lbs

Physical Information
Kanara has the features of a typical Chaktawe; webbed and padded feet, gelled fingers, and long lashes. She is long limbed at a height of 5.5’. Black raven hair flows to the middle of her back, usually decorated with white clay beads to symbolize her tribe, along with painted blue clay beads that mark her as a tracker. Sometimes, she braids in feathers and bones of animals she has successfully tracked, however she has a habit of pulling them out before long. She does manage to keep a few crow feathers relatively safe to eventually make her cloak. Her skin is pure copper, traditional of a Chaktawe, bearing a few scars on her arms and legs from her childhood and a small scar near her stomach. She weighs about 140 pounds. She is naturally small boned making her appearance lithe and somewhat fragile. Any muscle she has is well hidden in her frame giving her the appearance of a weak and vulnerable girl. Even with her solid jet black eyes, those that know her well can easily read her emotions by her facial expressions no matter how hard she tries to hide it.

Character Concept
Her most characteristic trait is her stubbornness and perseverance. She will go to any lengths for her friends and family. After her father’s death she developed a strong sense of justice and honour. When provoked, she becomes aggressive and rebellious. She doesn’t always get angry easily, but she can’t forgive people who hurt ones close to her. Her true smiles are rare and far between, her mind always wandering around troublesome things. At the current moment, the only thing important to her is avenging her father’s death. Due to the nature of his death, Kanara doesn’t trust strangers easily and doesn’t let anyone other than her family get close to her heart. Generally, she is friendly when interacting with her own kind and her friends, but she doesn’t like talking about her past or her father and quickly cuts ties to people that ask too many questions. Her fear lies in getting too attached to people and therefore maintains an emotional distance from everyone. Her childhood personality still lingers inside her, appearing most when she’s tired or curious.

Character History
Kanara is the youngest child of six. She has three brothers and two sisters. Her eldest sister has already been married onto the Kalanue tribe and her oldest brother has his own family already. She is closest to the age of her youngest brother, who is 2 years older than her. They spent most of their childhood together and share all their secrets with each other. Kanara’s childhood was dominated with happy memories. She was well known for her wild streak and dangerous adventures. Many of her scars that are scattered across her arms and legs are mostly due to her curious and untamed nature.

Her personality took a drastic change when she was about 10 summers old. Her father died in the middle of a sandstorm. Mischievous Kanara had run a little past the horses when the storm started enjoying the furious winds with her second eyelids closed so that she could squint through the sand whirling around her. Her father had followed her, but she had refused to go back. The storm got worse and it eventually resulted in them getting separated from the tribe. Luckily, they ended up near a small oasis and took shelter there. Kanara has no clear memory after that, other than her father being attacked by a traveler. Her tribe had found her several days later covered in his blood. When they found his body, his water organ was missing. Kanara had refused to speak about it leaving them to assume a wandering traveler has killed him and spared his daughter.

After that, she became reserved and quiet. She began to withdraw from the other members of tribe, only really talking to her family members. Feeling a sense of responsibility and guilt, she began to train as a tracker and a hunter. However, her father’s skills didn’t run strongly in her blood and she possessed little skill as a hunter. So, she focused more of her training on her tracking abilities and began to teach herself how to use a quarterstaff. She has little natural ability with the staff, but her stubbornness and hard work has given her some skill with the weapon. The staff was given to her by her grandfather sometime after her father's death. It was given to him as a gift by a traveler when he was exploring the Eyktol region.

Family :
Father
He was the fifth child of eight to be born in his family. He comes from a long line of hunters and was naturally a great hunter. He is greatly respected by the tribe and revered for his exceptionally hunting skills. Within the family, he is the one for a soft spot with the children, always letting them get away with mischief, acting like one of them himself sometimes according to his wife. He and his youngest daughter, Kanara get lost in a sandstorm one day. There is an air of mystery surrounding his death, it is only that Kanara witnessed his death and took it very hard. After the initial day of crying, she vowed never to cry again. Kanara’s closest brother was the one to inherit his fathers’ gift of hunting.

Mother
The core of the family is run by her mother. Within the family she is the one who commands disciple and keeps the house in order. Like any mother, she holds great love for all her children and does everything in turn to help them grow to be revered individuals. In the tribe she is trusted by the other members to guard their secrets and provides advice for those that need it. She is greatly respected for her midwifery. She is the first in her family line to show such talent, inept at the herbs and medicine needed to bring new life safely into the world. After her husband’s death, she cried and still mourns to this day. But, her duty to her tribe and her children keeps her moving forward. But, after that day she made sure to arm all her children before they ventured away from the tribe.

Grandmother/Grandfather
From the mother’s side of the family. Though it is unusual for the female side of the family to switch tribes, Kanara’s mother was an only child. After her parents aged, she and her husband brought them to live with them since she was only child left to take care of them. They provide great comfort for the children telling them stories of their mother’s childhood and their grandfather’s travels.
Her grandmother is nearly blind and relies on the pores on her fingers to get around and recognize people. Kanara is a gifted tracker mostly due to her grandmother teaching on sensing the vibration of people and animals.

Cheveyo
He is the second youngest to be born, just 2 years before Kanara. He is the closest to her of all her family. They often played together as children and developed a close bond since their other siblings were already grown up by the time they could walk. He and Kanara had similar personalities while growing up. He was shyer of the two, but was always up for a good laugh and a grand adventure. Both of them caused a lot of mischief in their childhood and shared many secrets. He is also the more religious; especially after his searching, he worships Eywaat faithfully. Even after their father’s death, they maintain a close bond. However, Kanara still maintains some distance causing Cheveyo to worry more than he lets on.
