Karc smirked at Hayl. He leaned back listening to the talk, but he jerked forwards he heard the sound from behind Hayl. He reached behind him and drew his crossbow, drawing a bolt readying the weapon, he then drew his short sword pushing it partly into the ground.

"What the petch is it?"

Glancing at the bush aimed the crossbow at fired, hoping tho flush the animal out. Though his aim was far off as he had no experience in using this weapon. The bolt flew into the bushes but farther to the side than where growl had come from. He fumbled as he attempt to reload the weapon.

An Unforgiving Travel (Hayl, Karc, Ago)

Postby Ago on May 24th, 2011, 12:48 am

Ago smiled at their banter. She was about to write more, but suddenly tensed. She had the sudden feeling of being watched. She slowly packed her things, not wanting them to get damaged by whatever was rustling in the leaves, slinging her backpack over her shoulder and loading her bow pointing it towards the sound. She almost let the arrow fly but was beaten to it by Karc. It was way off. But then again who's to say I can do any better? She eased backward. The rustling had stopped for a moment, probably because of the distraction of the arrow, but who knew when the thing would explode from the leaves. She wasn't exactly a favorable distance away.

The wise talk because they have something to say.

An Unforgiving Travel (Hayl, Karc, Ago)

Postby Hayl on May 25th, 2011, 10:10 pm

Hayl forced himself up on his feet, eyeing the commotion from the bushes. He heard a terrible growling sound as Karc’s bolt violated its space. It was a pained growl, and disturbing as the animal finally stepped from the bushes. The over grown ragged grey wolf had patches of fur missing, ribs exposed, and a thick white foam dripping from its yellow teeth. Its blood-shot eyes rolled back and forth from it’s three victims, till it rested them on Hayl’s bloodied foot. It tore from the green line acting drunk, but powerful. It’s gurgeling screams were bone-chilling and unnatural. A despicable animal that should have perished awhile ago making unpredictable movements. Still eyeing the blood from Hayl, it leaned its sprint toward Ago, perhaps because she was the closest to it, or perhaps because it didn’t even know what it wanted.

oocFeel free to take completed control over the monster. Unless we need a moderator, I don’t have a problem with whoever dominates it, or what happens. Just roleplay it as it attacks you

Karc fumbled, and dropped the bolt. He reached down to pick it up, but as he started to get up the beast came into view. Instead of rising up he kneeled in the hopes of steadying his aim. He reloaded slowly and aimed again, the best had started to move towards Ago. He fired, the bolt whistled and passed right above the animal. "Petch."

An Unforgiving Travel (Hayl, Karc, Ago)

Postby Ago on May 27th, 2011, 10:40 pm

Ago sped up her backwards running, cursing louder and louder in her mind as she went. She wouldn't risk turning around. She wanted the fur ball that was chasing her in her sight. She let an arrow fly with an audible Whizz. Her eyes narrowed slightly when she saw she had missed by a few feet. Reload, aim, shoot. Reload, aim, shoot. She repeated her mantra as she let three more arrows fly, each missing but getting closer. She bared her fanged teeth as if to say, Come and get me! the wolf hesitated before speeding up, baring its own sharp teeth. Her back hit a tree. She put her bow over her head, as it it were a satchel, and turned around, using her black claws to tear her way up the tree before feeling a slight vibration. She glanced down, seeing that the wolf had also slammed into the tree, head on. She nestled herself into a branch as the wolf shook itself and began barking up the tree at her. Seeing that it wouldn't be getting her anytime soon, it turned back to Hayl, its original target, unable to ignore the smell of blood. Ago unfastened her bow, once again shoot her bow, consentrating. Stop moving you petching monster!

Hayl grunts as he slung his bag at the beast. It was impulsive, even for Hayl, as it when hurling towards the monster Hayl thought ‘Wait… my stuff is in there…’. It struck it solidly on the head, and the beast dropped to its side, stunned by the strange blow. Hayl gazed at the monster and the other two, “Well… I’m glad somebody finally hit it with something!” he said sardonically to them, “Don’t shoot my bag.” He grunted as he drew his dagger and started hobbling towards the ravaging animal.

His blood was coagulating but it was still thick and the animal would find it very pungent as Hayl approached. If the shots aimed for it were not good, the beast would get up and lash at Hayl. Hayl had never killed a beast this big, but he sure wasn’t going to let his items get damaged. His satchel was his home and he had plenty of money in there that he wouldn’t want to make apparent to the other two.

Karc grunted as he let his third bolt whistle away. He heard a stasfying wet 'thunk', as he saw the bolt enter the beasts back thigh.
