As his fist connected solidly with her shoulder, a dull pain arched up his arm but it was miniscule to the pain radiating up from his broken hand. Using the leftover momentum from his punch he spun around, but bent his knees as he did so he lowered on his haunches, and turned around in place. As he was fixing to complete his turn, he noticed a flicker of movement from the woman as she went for a attack, and he moved his feet quickly into place setting them firmly before twisting to the side at the last second. He was already much lower than where her attack was aimed due to the way he caught himself by chance, but still the blade in her hand barely managed to nick his left ear as he rolled to the side. Still a small cut on his ear was better than a gash on his left arm and he thought as he completed his roll.
As he finished it he came up in a crouch with his right leg bent and supporting him. He would keep his left leg and motion, as he would have swept it towards her but not at her, in a effort to discourage any quick pursuit. As his leg came around to meet the end of the half circuit, his right would spring into action launching him backwards in a spinning motion, and swept his right leg in a sweeping motion at eye level. This strike would only get her if she had gone for him and dodged his left foot, striking her in the temple or jaw if she didn't dodge.
After the second defensive spin he would land easily on the balls of his feet, his right foot a paces behind his leading left foot. His left foot would be pointed towards her, or where she was if she dodged, and his right would be pointed slightly to the side, ready to snap into action at his command. He also held his left arm diagonal in front of him like a shield, with his right arm held horizontal a few inches below his left. If the moment was at a standstill it would be now that he chose to say a few words before resuming the fevering spar, " Don't worry about it, we all know the inherent risks in sparring, and more ever the fact that they are worth it " he said with a disarming smile, but his stance was still held and his muscles tightened in preparation. " May the best of us win " he said softly in such a way he wasn't even sure if she heard him. The woman was skilled, and no stranger to actual heated combat, which put her at a advantage to Nex who had seen little combat outside of training except for the occasional one on one, and a couple of bouts in the woods. Unconsciously he noted he slim line of blood that encircled her iris but he knew not what that meant, surely not internal trauma from that simple punch. Her eyes weren’t like that at the beginning of the spar , he noted, but he pushed the thought from his head. This was no time for thinking about anything besides fighting.
Soon depending on what she did, he snapped into action. If she choose to use his brief distraction to charge, his arms where already moving outwards ready to cross down if she tried to stab at his center. If she went that avenue he would cross down his arms to strike his forearm against the top of her wrist and disarm her, if she went high, his arms would dip appropriately and come up to deflect the it harmlessly to the side, if she went in low he would simply hop over the blade, and try to snap up his knee to hit her in her collar bone or face if she didn't dodge in time. However if she choose not to charge at him at all, he would just stand there briefly to catch his breath before he charged at her again with a different tactic. As soon as he would have sprinted off he would plant his right hand on the ground before him, and use the power of his push off the ground to pull off a front flip in the air. From their depending on how close she was he would strike at her from a higher angle. If she was really close to him, then his little jump would be devastating to both him and her, unless she dodged out of the way in time, from that close her dagger would most likely score a few hits on his legs if she had the presence of mind to strike but not dodge, but if she didn't strike or dodge, the balls of his feet would strike her shoulders or he would simply crash into her, if she dodged, he would need a moment or two to regain his balance, and she could possibly land a few counterstrikes against him. If she was a medium distance way he would be within striking range of her, his foot likely hitting her in the center of her chest, or hand depending on where she held her dagger. If she was more than a 4 or 5 feet away from him then his attack would completely miss, but it give him a chance to land on the flat of his feet and resume his defensive posture again.
oocNo problem here, perfect work on your part, mine got a little complicated so if you need me to tweak anything or take anything out, just let me know, like the aura reading you did, was very interesting to read, those are the bones I figured would be broken too, the picture was much appreciated.
