- It's more than fair to describe Estrellita as beautiful, by night or day. Like all of her kind, though, her form does switch with the changing light of the dawn and the dusk, for she is one of Syna's Ethaefal. Thus, when the sun shines high above in the sky, Estrellita's form is that of the divine and ethereal Ethaefal; and when Syna recedes for her lover, Leth, Estrellita takes on the form she possessed before she became an Ethaefal: that of a Vantha.
During the daytime, Estrellita appears as the perfect and dainty Ethaefal. Due to the habits of her race to change their horn colors and hair colors depending on the season, Estrellita never looks quite the same. Her silky, long hair is always full of luster and curls, which are usually the object of envy to almost any woman that sees them. Her hair will usually try to appear as golden as it can: in winter, it's a warm, but pale brown; in spring, it's a deep golden color; in summer, it maintains its golden appearance; in fall, it's a light auburn. Her eye color is consistent, always a forget-me-not, dusky blue with a lovely sparkle. As to her facial structure, there's no argument that it's attractive. Estrellita possesses a becoming jaw line as well as a straight nose. Her cheeks are a rosy color, giving her a healthy and energetic light. Estrellita's lips are full, offsetting the other dainty features of her face in a most alluring manner.
At night, Estrellita loses her Ethaefal charm in exchange for the form she possessed before her fall and transformation: a Vantha. As such, Estrellita's eyes will change during the nighttime, but the most common color is a vibrant green with gold flecks around the pupils. Estrellita's height does not change between forms, and neither does her body shape. She remains little, as her name suggests, keeping her petite and lithe form. Her hair, while still curly and glossy, turns to a deep brown color, and her skin goes from a pale porcelain color to a light tan. Her lips thin out slightly as her face narrows, though her eyes never lose her characteristic sparkle. The overall effect, while not as appealing as the Ethaefal form, is that of a beautiful young woman with an exquisite and dainty frame.
However, Estrellita's constant good looks, regardless of her form, has proved to have a negative effect on the woman as well. Estrellita is decidedly vain and likes to be sure she's always looking as nice as she can be. Her temper is short when her appearance is chastised or insulted, and she absolutely loves to be the receiver of compliments. She is, to put it bluntly, somewhat narcissistic. To her, a thing of beauty is a joy forever. If she has a choice, she likes to be seen out in the sunlight, when her splendor is at its peak.

- One of the best words to describe Estrellita before her transformation would be passionate. The young woman was easily swayed and ruled by her emotions. Growing up as a Vantha, where life was all about charisma and flair and meaning, Estrellita learned to cling to each emotion she felt and to expand upon it, incorporating her powerful feelings into everything she did. This gave her an extraordinary amount of character; anything she did, she did with all of her heart and all of her power.
After transforming into an Ethaefal, the realization and immense burden of how dependent she was upon nature and time somewhat mellowed out her vivacious personality, giving the passionate girl a somber and calm tone. However, the new importance of time taught Estrellita to treasure each fleeting moment. She soon embraced each instant with a peacefulness that she had not possessed before.
And even though she no longer expresses it with the energy of a child, the woman still has an uncanny love for life. Her passion brims over the edges of her soul to spill out onto the new existence Syna has laid out for her. Estrellita regards her rebirth as a chance to spread her knowledge and feelings around to the rest of the world, in hopes that they'll discover their own passions to pursue.
Because of Estrellita's emotional nature, she can be influenced by feelings. Constantly aware of her emotions and the emotions of people around her, she'll sometimes do what's irrational just because it fits her mood or the moods of others. She doesn't like to be told that she's overreacting or being dramatic, for she regards this as a direct insult to how she feels. Though dimmed by her new maturity, Estrellita still retains a certain fire that her passionate mind continues to fuel. She also has an extreme hatred towards remaining quiet when she'd rather speak. Silence, to her, is the equivalent of letting emotions and time slip by un-cherished, so she usually speaks what's on her mind, for better or worse.
Estrellita’s vibrant nature is not without its hint of sorrow, though. Her fall to Mizahar left Estrellita with an acute sense of loss for what she once had. As such, whenever the sky is mentioned, or something about the afterlife, Estrellita will often become uncharacteristically melancholy until the moment has passed, spending those seconds reflecting upon her life and what it has become. During such instances, it's unwise to approach her. At dusk and dawn, when she switches forms, Estrellita becomes slightly sulky and somewhat irritable, for the change takes advantage of her extrovert-like character, and sometimes makes her say blatant and crude things that she otherwise would not have declared. As a general rule, Estrellita is inclined to like the more gregarious and passionate aspects of life and people, and she dislikes boring or mundane things.
As far as morals go, Estrellita has never been particularly limited by a moral code, except for the one she was taught by her upbringing as a Vantha: put your heart and soul into everything you do, for that way, it's assured that everything you do will never be boring. Estrellita values her opinions and feelings over most anything else, especially silence and inaction. She will always do what she believes is the correct thing as long as she feels that it's right.

- Estrellita remembers, surprisingly, a great deal of what her past life was like...probably because her life was so short and fleeting, which made it easier to recall. The first thing that she remembered about her past life was her voice, her voice, her lovely voice that she managed to keep when she became an Ethaefal. This was the voice that has been with her throughout her entire life, bringing to her and countless others the joy of a melodious and musical sound that gives life to even the most plain words.
Estrellita's voice became her pride and joy. Instead of telling stories like the other Vantha would do, Estrellita would sing, adding another layer of feeling onto an already passion-fevered voice. Her songs entranced those who listened, and soon Estrellita's singing abilities became widespread throughout the region where she lived, the region of Avanthal.
Estrellita lived in Avanthal, the city of ice, until she was sixteen. She was brought up among a closely-knit people who survived through harsh conditions on an almost tangible lust for life. These people raised her to be outgoing and friendly, to be outspoken and extroverted, to be lively and passionate. These people raised her to pay close attention to every feeling, every nuance of emotion, so that her days in the cold, white world would forever be filled with warmth and color.
And it was these same people that forced her to disregard all of her feelings by uniting her with a man she did not want to marry. He was called Jurrd, and he was known as the best hunter that her people had to offer. He was handsome, proud, strong, capable, and one of the most stoic Vantha Estrellita had ever seen. His blandness frightened and disgusted her, but no matter how many times she begged or pleaded or yelled or cried, her own feelings were ignored, and the two were forced into matrimony.
Estrellita felt her heart break when her wishes were cast aside, and for the first time, she believed that she had been silenced against her will. That silence shattered something within her. And so, after praying to Morwen for guidance, Estrellita decided that she would not ever be silenced again. The night of the wedding, she packed up all of her belongings, saddled up her husband's trusted frostmarch, and she simply left. She took nothing else with her other than a little lyre that the people of her Holding had crafted for her so she had something to accompany her singing. Estrellita was barely a girl of sixteen at the time of her departure.
As she was riding away on the back of Jurrl's frostmarch, it tripped and stumbled, injuring itself. Estrellita immediately felt bad for the animal, for she knew it was her fault it had been hurt. Since the two were still reasonably close to Avanthal, Estrellita calmed her beast down and then sent it home, not wanting her foolish and reckless plan to hurt the other even more. The frostmarch left her, and Estrellita continued on foot, confident that she could keep going. She would not turn back, so angered was she at having been silenced. Estrellita walked until she her legs were numb and she could not walk anymore, and then she collapsed in the snow. The cold spread throughout her body, chilling her and taking away her feelings. Feeling strangely at peace, Estrellita closed her eyes.
Perhaps Morwen rejected the girl's prayer. Perhaps that night the climate was a lot colder than it should have been. Perhaps Estrellita wasn't as resistant to the cold as she thought she was. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. Whatever the reason, the sixteen-year-old girl with the uncanny love for life would never open her eyes as a Vantha again.
Even though Estrellita had lived her life as a Vantha—meaning that she almost never saw the sunlight—the girl was always enraptured by the sun’s vibrant energy, right from the beginning. When she was a Vantha, Estrellita compared Syna’s glowing vigor to her own ardor for life, and oftentimes she would throw in a prayer or two to Syna during her daily reverence to Morwen. After her death and rebirth, Estrellita’s constant devotion to the sun was rewarded in the form of Syna choosing Estrellita as one of her Ethaefals, providing Estrellita with all of the advantages of being an Ethaefal during the sunlight.
And so Estrellita opened her dusky blue eyes to an entirely different life, one that she would have never dreamed of. Fallen back to Mizahar and given another chance to live, Estrellita seized this new fate with both hands. Upon realizing what she was, she decided that her uniqueness could now be used as a marketing ploy. Combined with her extraordinarily beautiful voice, the one she kept despite her transformation, Estrellita's mysterious race now gave her even more allure and charm. Using this charm, she set off to make something of herself.
Estrellita now acts as a Songstress, wandering across all of Mizahar and reveling in every moment of freedom she is given. Since she's no longer silenced, the Ethaefal contents herself with the goal of trying to bring passion and a spark of life to every stranger that she meets, through her songs, her words, and her unique personality.
