Jokor bit down sharply on the dagger to keep his mind of the throbbing pain in his left side, where the hard wooden shaft of the spear just hit him, grimacing as he couldn't get the damn spear out of jaelyn's grasp. His eyes went wide as she took a step closer and lashed out with that big slab of iron she called a shield. Grabbing the dagger from in between his teeth he released her spear and jumped to the side, trying to avoid the shieldbash. Picking up a slight flash of some emotion he couldn't really determine with his poor auristic's skill in Jaelyn's aura as he did so. Awkwardly landing in a roll, most likely adding a few extra bruises and aggravating his hurt side some more, Jokor clambered back on his feet as fast as he could. He wouldn't be fast enough to stab her in the back though, so jokor just held his dagger defensivly in front of him as he spread his legs, putting most of the weight on his toes, ready to dart out of the way or into an opening. |
